I walked right in and was made to feel immediately at home. The food is delicious and fresh. Service served with a smile spoke with the owner Juanita who said shes been in business for 30yrs. Came in for a quick breakfast in between errands, she made me something not quite on the menu as I was craving a breakfast burrito: beans, rice, and chili Verde accompanied by fresh coffee. I’ll definitely be back!

Want to eat REAL, AUTHENTIC Mexican food like if it was made at home? This is the place. I cannot emphasize enough how high my standards are. I was born and raised in the south of Mexico, el corazón de nuestra cocina. I’m always homesick, and this brought tears to my eyes. El olor, el sabor… it took me straight back to so many wonderful memories.
I’m only in Bakersfield for a few weeks, but I would gladly drive two hours just to taste el verdadero sazón again. Juanita cocina con amor y es la mejor representación de nuestra cultura. Gracias, Juanita, por este pedacito de hogar.

I love this place! Authentic, delicious food, great prices! The cutest restaurant ever! AND the Los Reyes Artesanias shop connected has so many items that are adorable. I’ll be going back to buy more goods! Best of all, for me, though, is Juanita, the owner. She is absolutely humble, beautiful, and kind! She gives, gives, gives and doesn’t ask for anything in return. Come by and get to know her and let her feed you. You’ll fall in love with both her and her delicious cooking! <3

If you look up this restaurant don’t click on web your device could get a virus. I clicked on web and other stuff popped up has nothing to do with restaurant!!!!!!!!!!!!. Thankfully I have good security antivirus. If stuff pops up on your screen telling you it has a virus don’t click on it go to your phone browser app that your device uses setting and clear your cache.

Food: My two favorite dishes (tamales and chili verde enchiladas) were not on the menu. The little old lady waitress said they could make me a chile verde enchilada anyway, which I appreciated. With that said, I did not like their chile verde, it was very watery and the chunks of pork were very small. The beans and rice were pretty good though.
Drinks: I absolutely cannot stand drinking my drinks out of a can. Our drinks were served in cans, no fountain drinks. Not sure if this is always the case or on this particular day their machine was down.
All in all, I would not revisit this place, particularly when there are SO many good Mexican places in town that do serve my favorite dishes and have fountain drinks.

Absolutely the best cheese Enchiladas I have had since I was little!!! And the prices are cheap especially now with everything so high…and the waitress was so sweet…Definitely going back and a 5 star for me!
