After a morning spent checking out RVs, I had a craving for some Mexican food and came across Los Primos Mexican Grill — it did not disappoint! The atmosphere was great, and I’d describe it as an offbeat sports bar vibe, with TVs all around showing college football on that Saturday.
As always with good Mexican spots, the food came out fast, fresh, and hot — perfect if you’re hungry and don’t want to wait long. Everything tasted great and hit the spot. It’s not exactly my neck of the woods, but if I’m ever in the area and craving Mexican again, I know exactly where I’ll go.

Absolute FAVORITE Mexican restaurant in Hampton Roads! Food is actually seasoned well. The service is fantastic. As a prior waitress myself, the teamwork that they show every single time I come is amazing. Its like walking in to seeing family. They genuinely care about everyone who walks through the door! The owner is always present and helping his own staff! Love this place so much!!!!!!!

I heard about this place from the coupon on the back of my Kroger receipt and I’m so glad I did! The food was fantastic and came so fast, my server Brian was great, the restaurant was clean and welcoming, if I could give this place more stars, I would!! Highly recommend the quesadillas but I will be back to try the burritos. Their menu is extensive and they have the largest salad selection I’ve ever seen at a Mexican restaurant. The sauces are all house made. Highly recommend!

11/14/25 – our 1st time but definitely not our last. Our waitress, Sam A., was super attentive & made a perfect marg. The gentleman who made the table side guac was also phenomenal. Food was hot, fresh, & delicious. Service was top tier all around. This easily won the spot as our new go to.

Very good Mexican food. Everything is served faster and hotter than other Mexican restaurants in the area. The quality is amazing. So far I’ve had enchiladas verdes, burritos mexicanos, and the carne asada which were all delicious.

Can’t express how much we love this place! We come every Friday and feel like family. Food is always fresh and delicious!! The owner Jose is personable and builds a rapport with many of his customers. Madison, Jenny and really all the servers are kind. Make this your regular Mexican spot too, you won’t be disappointed!

This was my first time at this Mexican restaurant for Taco Tuesday. I enjoyed the four tacos I had. I had two beef and two shredded chicken tacos. The tacos can be hard or soft . I went about 3:30 and the place was not crowded. I can say it will be crowded in the evening when everyone gets off of work. Tasty tacos for sure, I will return for another Taco Tuesday. Excellent dining experience. Good and friendly service, and excellent Mexican food. And yes they do have a liquor license.
