Was seated at the bar and the service was just awful. The bartender was very inattentive, talking and focused on one side of the bar the entire time. I asked another person for chips and salsa that never came.
I ordered a large frozen Margarita, holy guacamole! It was very strong, definitely worth it. Also got the crazy burrito. Definitely recommend, it’s huge! Just wish there was a little more steak in it.
Overall, I’d come back next time I’m in the area. I’d ask to be seated at a table next time.

Los Pos always has great food, and drinks. The food is always fresh, and the drinks seem to always be mixed perfectly. Great atmosphere as well. This will be a northern neck staple for years to come!

This was an amazing little gem of a Mexican restaurant near Reedville, Virginia. We had no expectations when we saw the establishment as you were driving by.
We decided to stop on a whim and were comforted that even though it was off hours, the parking lot was already about half full.
We walked into a modern well decorated Mexican restaurant that we learned has been opened for just a few months.
We were quickly seated at a clean booth and the waiter quickly came over and was very friendly and cordial and took our initial orders. At the same time another person brought heaping baskets of very crisp chips and tons of salsa. In most Mexican restaurants you keep on having to ask for more salsa and I was pleasantly surprised that the large containers of salsa that are brought before us. It was quite good.
I come from Arizona and there are no shortage of Mexican restaurants there. I really did not have much expectation in terms of the food quality here. There was an abundance of selections on the menu and we placed our orders. When the food came out, I was stunned by how large the portions were, especially considering how reasonable the prices were. It’s been my experience in the past that large portions do not necessarily equal tasty meals. In this case I was pleasantly surprised because of food was excellent. It burst with flavor without being overwhelming and everything tasted fresh. Normally I can finish even a large portion in one setting but I could only eat half of my burrito and save the rest for later. Even after microwaving lead portion it remain delicious.
Los portales has shown that good tasty food does exist even in out of the way Reedville. The next time I’m in town I will certainly visit again. I highly recommend this place with its excellent food and wonderful service.

You cannot compete with Los Portales around here. The Los Pos in Callao and now here in Burgess are unbeatable. Their food and drinks are outstanding, their service is fast and friendly, and the prices can’t be beat. If you’re looking for local, family owned, and delicious, look no further! The new restaurant is absolutely beautiful and clean inside and it was worth the wait! We are so happy it has finally opened.

The food here just keeps going downhill. I think the only reason it’s gets customers is because there are no other options. It’s a shame too since the atmosphere and service is always pretty good. The FOOD is TERRIBLE. Even a simple taco does not taste good. Guacamole last night tasted old or made from rotting avocados. Beans definitely had extra tomato sauce in it. Probably attempting to make more with less. I keep trying to go here and enjoy myself but the food just keeps getting worse. I don’t think I’ll return anytime soon.
