Amazing food. Fast and excellent customer service. The atmosphere is so lively. I went here for my Valentine’s Day date and both me and my boyfriend walked away with full stomachs, an amazing time, and at a price that was so worth it.
My boyfriend had the Nachos Mejor and I had the Fajitas Texanas. Both, amazing. And for dessert we had the Raspberry Cheesecake Chimichanga, so good, so filling. I will be coming here again!

6/10/25. First time to Los Portales, so Mexican food is on of my favorites. I would put Los Portales up with one of the best Mexican restaurants for the flavor of their food. The restroom was not of the wall with decor. The service was very good and the food was excellent. I would recommend Los Portales.

The worst meal we have ever been served in a restaurant. Looked like dog food sitting in a puddle of milky white liquid. It was supposed to be nachos with chicken, it clearly was not. Staff was not friendly at all, best thing I can say was that it looked clean. Save your money I wish I had.

This is a complete ripoff! You can see the fajitas for two doesn’t even cover the plate it looks more like fajitas for one and they are $30. My daughter got chicken and cheese nachos and there’s not even hardly any cheese dip. I guess that’s what happens when there’s not another Mexican restaurant to compete with them.

I was taken to Los Portales to celebrate my 50th birthday. Our food was tasty and we enjoyed a pitcher of margaritas which was not too terribly sugary, so that was refreshing.
My entourage was very sweet and organized the birthday song for me and the restaurant put the sombrero on my head and served me a buñuelo. All that was well and good until one of the muchachos literally smashed whipped cream all over my face (from behind me, no less) and literally *rubbed it in with force*.
Now, I can see that to some folks this would be hilarious, and perhaps appropriate – maybe friends taking out one of the guys for his 21st or something – but the staff didn’t ask my party if that’s what we wanted, and for a 50 year old woman, dressed up and out with the girls, this was just not appropriate.
The restaurant should only offer this “service” on a patron-approved basis and under no circumstances should it be a surprise to every member of the party.
I’m a good sport, but this went too far.

We went at 11am on Saturday so I couldn’t say it’s ALWAYS a relaxing/quieter experience. The food was pretty good, always get the cheese dip!! Only thing was I ordered a mixed drink and it was very strong, I got a few sips and couldn’t drink anymore strong. But overall had a wonderful time and will definitely be back!
