We have always heard good things about Los Pilares in Bartlett so it was time for us to try it out!
Bad choice.. we won’t be back.
Service was not good, the younger girls they have waiting tables do not have friendly mannerisms or etiquette.
Food was decent at best, pork was greasy, beans runny & rice was bland. Chicken should have been on grill instead of skillet.
Chips & salsa was delish! Drinks were also on point! Prices are Higher than other area mexican restaurants that are actually better in service & food.
Better options are elsewhere….and even nearby!

Friend and I have gone to lunch every couple weeks with decent service and good food. Don’t know what changed on 12/11/2025 , steak fajitas were very tuff and had bad taste where it couldn’t be eaten. We ate the veggies and sauce. I told waiter what was going on and he had no response back, I thought he might offer chicken to replace the steak. I couldn’t believe he actually didn’t say anything to resolve the issue. Nothing to help the experience. We will find another Mexican restaurant to spend our money, plenty in Bartlett. Even mention to lady at checkout, sorry she said but offered no discount. Never been so disappointed in a restaurant and their demeanor. Then I saw a bad rating with the health department. Hopefully they will improve but we will not be back. So disappointed!

This delicious and authentic restaurant has a good selection of plant based options, that can be modified for a vegan option. Great prices, the lunch specials are very affordable. The place is clean, very friendly service. It’s a good option for a dining experience that doesn’t break the bank.

I have been to Los Pilares probably 50 times. Last night was my last time. We ordered chicken fajitas for two. 28 minutes later, we got our chicken and salad. 15 minutes after that, after getting up and finding my waiter, we got fajitas and our drinks ( our drinks for the very first time). Our waiter was an older man who had absolutely no business serving tables. Shame on you Los Pilares for allowing such poorly trained, inexperienced staff to serve your customers.
The food quality was cold, and it was evident the food had been sitting for a while.
What a sub-par experience. My meal should have been comped.

I’ll be honest, our fav Mexican restaurant had a really long wait & we were hungry and had a hankering for Mexican food. We were looking for another place to eat and impulsively pulled in. We’ve lived in Bartlett for decades, but for some reason never eaten at Los Pilares.
We were surprised at how large and nicely decorated the dining area was. The strip-mall facade had us fooled.
I wanted to try a few different things, so I ordered a combo meal with a beef enchilada, chile rellenos and a taco. The hubs ordered a chimichanga. We also ordered queso and hot salsa for appetizers.
The chips and salsa were great. The chips were perfect, nicely thin. The salsa was some of the best I’ve eaten and I loved that it wasn’t loaded with cilantro. The queso and homemade hot salsa were also excellent.
Hubs thought his chimichanga was better than our favorite place. The outside was crispy and it was stuffed full of goodness. The chile rellenos was probably our favorite of everything we tried.
I’m gonna say, I feel like we’ve cheated ourselves for not eating here sooner. The serving sizes were generous and the prices, on point. We will be back.
