I visited this restaurant last night with my son and ordered a shrimp quesadilla. Unfortunately, he woke up at 3 AM with severe vomiting and diarrhea, which lasted until late morning til about 11am. He started to feel better and back himself. I went to look at the shrimp because I did not even think to do that last night nor did my child, BUT LESSON LEARNED. I will now. You can clearly see on the top part of the shrimp was still raw somewhat. it’s not fully cooked!!
I called to inform the manager about the situation and even offered to show proof, just so this incident doesn’t happen to others. but he was extremely rude and accused me of lying, also suggesting it could be the flu. Which if it was the flu my child would still be feeling bad. My son recovered, so confirming it was definitely food poisoning. The manager showed no sincerity or apology, instead telling me to go get a hospital report if I wanted anything done stating it’s from their shrimp quesadilla.
I NEVER requested for a refund, i worked in a MEXICAN restaurant for about 10 years as a waitress and i know not every restaurant or anyone at that matter are perfect but literally just wanted him to know so this would not happen again to anyone especially a child. instead of thanking me or being apologetic, he took offense to it. I missed work today and my child missed school. So This experience was very disappointing, and I hope others don’t have to go through the same. So beware!!

The good first
– chips salsa good
– reasonable price
– staff friendly
– bar is a great place to grab a beer
The bad
– food had no flavor. Enchiladas tasted like tortillas with cheese and cheap can sauce over them
– dirty walls. Food splatter everywhere
– margarita taste like a cheap mix with alcohol in it.
– I ordered my food and it was brought out in three minutes, red flag. Not fresh.
– any chef will tell you, if there’s a ton on the menu than that’s a red flag. Hard to keep all that fresh.
I’m from Texas and go to Mexico a lot. I know good Tex mex and Mexican food. This is not it. Anyone who gives this more than two stars either has never had good Mexican food or just like the service and restaurant. I’m looking at this from the outside in.

Spent the night in the area for a business trip. This restaurant was right around the corner so we decided to give it a try. We absolutely LOVED it! Great experience all the way around! Excellent service, fast and friendly. While many places are short-staffed, this place seemed to be fully staffed.
The chips were thin and crispy. The salsa and cheese dip were excellent! I ordered the fajita taco salad and my husband ordered the pork fajitas. We both loved our entrees! They certainly don’t skimp on the food! We wish we lived in the area – we’d visit this place often. If you’re in the area and you’re looking for great Mexican food, give this place a try! You won’t be disappointed!

We visited this restaurant today around 3:30pm. Very spacious. The attendants were very nice and asked if we needed anything constantly, I gave the service a 5 star. The food, however, was not the best to my liking. The horchata drink is not homemade. It’s from the powder that gets mixed with water, instantly within the 1st sip we knew. The salsa from the chips taste like the salsa from the grocery store glass jars, they just added chopped onion and cilantro. We ordered the carne asada. The meat was missing some seasoning but to each its taste. I just added salt – no big deal. The refried beans taste like the canned beans from the store. I had way too many purple onions to my liking in my salad. The rice was decent. Customer service was excellent, though. I honestly did not feel satisfied with the food.

Enjoyed a meal here with family. Was visiting Brookhaven and was looking for a good bite to eat. Eberyone at the table enjoyed their food…… refried beans, spanish rice, chicken quesadillias, tacos, burrittos, tortilla chips, salsa and grilled quail. Yes, quail was on the menu and it was very, very tasty.

I walked in the door and the manager is sitting in a booth on his phone and tells me I need to wait at the door to be sat. Mind you the restaurant is completely dead. Also mind you there is 4 employees sitting around the door doing absolutely nothing.
The area behind the bar is disgusting, the server that helped me poured out 6+ oz’s of beer before he finished my pint.
I was here for 20 minutes and have no idea how they are in business??
I’m not a Karen, I’m someone who’s worked in the industry for 10 years and think y’all should take pride in what you do.

I’ve never had a bad experience here until today. I came in around 2:00 so it was right after the lunch crowd. I only saw my waitress two times: when I ordered my food and when she brought it out. It was a simple p5 shrimp. The shrimp was good, but the rice was cold. I waited for a refill on my water, and she never came back to the table. And when I was ready to leave, I waited 30 minutes for the check. When I realized she wasn’t going to bring it, I got up and walked to the counter and asked for my check. Terrible service and I probably won’t be back for awhile.
