Tacos, enchiladas & burritos offered in a down-to-earth destination with a terrace.

Welcoming, homelike & cozy Mexican restaurant. My absolute favorite spot to enjoy consistently delicious birria, quesabirria & carnitas tacos! Ran by the Hernandez family. All dishes are family recipes prepared with care. Fresh and flavourful sauces served on the side, not on the tacos. Filling portions at affordable prices. Small space that fills quickly during lunch hour. Fenced parking lot.

I’ve been driving by this restaurant for a while and this morning I finally decided to try it. Oh my gosh, I am surprised and impressed, seriously considering this spot as a little hidden Abq gem. Food is amazing, friendly staff, family friendly atmosphere, comfortable environment with beautiful decor, nice music in the background, reasonable prices, timely and delicious! The coffee is magical… Highly recommended!

I’ve been wanting to try this restaurant for a while, but their hours are limited (they open too late for breakfast, for me, close too early for dinner). It’s Mexican, not New Mexican, which was part of the appeal. I was disappointed that they don’t offer chile rellenos, so I ordered cheese enchiladas. They were good, but very overpriced — $16.99, the most I’ve ever paid for a dish that probably costs less than a dollar for ingredients (yes, I understand there are other costs, but still…). I know all about inflation, but that’s excessive for a hole-in-the-wall restaurant in a bad neighborhood. Service was also extraordinarily slow. It took 40 minutes for me to get my food, even though there were only two other customers. They both got their food before me despite arriving after me, which is always annoying. What could be simpler to make than enchiladas? After such a long wait, my enchiladas were also lukewarm. I won’t be back.

I come here at least twice a month because it is that delicious. The service is great and the food is AMAZING. I try to order something new every time and never have been disappointed. The atmosphere is of a grandmothers house, so welcoming and cozy. It is a self seating restaurant.

I ordered the Caldo de Res. I woke up not feeling well, and caldo was the only thing that sounded good to me. So, I decided to try Los Olivos, and I am glad I did. The soup was everything I needed. Flavorful broth, tender meat, good rice, and veggies.
The Caldo de Res comes with tortillas and salsa, as well. All very good.
Additionally, the staff was muy amable, and the restaurant had a nice and homey vibe.
My only complaint is the price. I paid $18 for a large soup that was only enough for 1 serving.
Nonetheless, it was delicious, and I’ll probably be back.

The food was delicious!!! We ordered To Go, which took a bit long, but worth it! It was made with lots of flavor and love. I normally like red sauce, but it was hot for me this time and the green taste was great! Driving in was pretty tight. I drove in with a big truck and it was a challenge parking in and getting out. Cars shouldn’t have much of a problem. I totally recommend giving this place a try.

* HONEST AND DETAILED DESCRIPTION ABOUT RESTAURANT*
Upon waking into the restaurant you can already feel and embrace the Hispanic atmosphere. The restaurant is small, but wow does it feel like your at home. Was greeted by a waiter and was told I could sit wherever I please. I was really really tempted to try the queso Birra tacos since they are the most popular choice but I ordered a meal called carne en pipián (which I believe was pork in green mole sauce; I could definitely be wrong) with an Horchata drink, but man was I ever so satisfied with my choice!!! The flavors were so well blended, the sauce, the tender meat, the rice and beans; perfectly well balanced with a tortilla of your choice. I opted for corn; I usually don’t finish plates, especially of this proportional size but man did I clean that plate right off!! The horchata was so authentic, it was not overly sweet and you could taste the quality ingredients. Our waiter was fantastic as well, gave us great recommendations if we decide to come (it’s a no brained we’re definitely coming again). If ANYONE is looking for a high quality, very affordable, authentic atmosphere with great service, then I HIGHLY suggest you try this place out. It’s extremely difficult for me to give 5 stars since I personally believe a rating of 5 stars has be locked in within core memories and near perfect taste. HOWEVER, this place definitely meets that standard in my opinion, THE ONLY reason I am not giving it a 5 star review just yet is because I need to try those queso birria tacos; so my review will be edited and finalized once I try them out, and I WILL be honest about this review. As of now this place is a no brainer to taste and bring your family around!

Such a little gem. We’ve been twice so far and loved everything we’ve tried. The birria tacos are super crisp, flavorful, and cheesy. The carnitas was cooked to perfection and the sides compliment it very well. The shrimp cocktail has plenty of shrimp and is also quite delicious. The pellizcada with carnitas was my absolute favorite though. Keep in mind this is a small local establishment with a small staff. You might have to wait more than usual but, it’s definitely worth it.

Walked in for lunch 1:15. Walked out at 1:19 no one greeted, peaked around nothing. Not sure if I was supposed to walk to the back and make my own food.Sad because I heard so much good about this restaurant.
