Really good tacos and an amazing happy hour deal! We got BOGO Margaritas, BOGO beer and a $1.25 off each taco. The bartender was super friendly, the service was fast and we’re definitely going back. They also have a great variety of salsas and sauces ranging from VERY spicy to a lovely mild green salsa.

To preface this; I ordered this online so I cannot speak to the restaurant experience, however, I only live a few blocks away so I don’t think the quality of the food was that different. Overall; the food was pretty good but nothing special, the chicken had a nice lime flavor but the tortilla was severely undercooked which made it gummy and unpleasant. I wouldn’t say that you shouldn’t go here, but there are some better places nearby such as Habanero and Taco Libre in Roseville.

The best authentic Mexico City style food in the twin cities, white people stop ordering fajitas and burritos this isn’t Chi Chi’s or Chipotle. Try something with masa (Quesadilla, Hurache, Sopes, Gordita, tyacoyo), it’s made in house and AMAZING. Also they have great affordable Mexican breakfast. Flavors, sauces, rice and beans are spot on, and not midwesternized. Prices are super reasonable. Me and my Mexico City native partner get food from here almost weekly.

Los Ocampo was about as expected based on other reviews. It seemed a bit pricey for the portions, but the quality was solid!
I got Tripa tacos + beans and rice (~$14.99) and churros (~$8.99). The restaurant appears to have different specials going on all the time. For example, the combo I got for $14.99 was a Monday special. The tacos were delicious and the sauce added a nice kick. I don’t believe the sauces are something they typically give out, as they asked us if we wanted any hot sauces and if so, which sauces we wanted (we asked for all 3). Churros were tasty!
The customer service was lacking – it took a while to get waters, and when we were ready to order, our waitress wasn’t around to take our order (we didn’t even know the waitress was different from the hostess because we didn’t even see our waitress the entire time we were deciding on what to get). The hostess couldn’t answer a question we had about the food, either. They were otherwise nice and pleasant to interact with though.
Overall, not bad at all. But for the effort it took to find parking and waiting to order a somewhat spendier meal, I’m not sure I would come here again anytime soon.

Come visit this new location! The atmosphere is great! I sat at the bar tonight since I came on a whim by myself and I was delighted by the friendly bartender and other patrons. The decor inside is fun and inviting. My Paloma was fantastic and the was delicious- as expected. Service was fast and the specials were a nice surprise. Added bonus: the Saints away game was on! I’ll definitely be back for another solo date night!

Great ambiance. We really enjoyed the patio and the waiters had quick service for taking our order and bringing our food. The weather was great outside, and we enjoyed that the patio emptied around 8pm and we had it to ourselves. Only downside was that our table was close to the door and got hit a couple times, the servers apologized and were amicable though, the patio can only accommodate a few tables. The food and drinks tasted great as well.

So glad to have this place in the neighborhood. They have an extensive menu; I love going in to order an array of tacos. Awesome salsas as well, ranging from a little hot to very spicy. The staff is always welcoming. A fantastic addition to Merriam Park.

The waiter we had was very good. A waiter who I’d tip even if we weren’t expected to in America.
I ordered a chimichanga with chicken. The salad it came with was nice and rich. It had guac, which some places unfortunately don’t add. The Chimechanga tasted somewhat “round”, like the flavors were mildly homogenous, but it was still a great item. Not crispy by the way. The sauce tasted kind of just like a tomato sauce, possibly mildly altered; it wasn’t like a dedicated flavorful rich enchilada sauce. It didn’t include the Mexican white sauce which I love but rather had melted cheese on top.
The sauces this place had were surprisingly unique and great. I haven’t had similar ones before. One was a mildly creamy chili pepper sauce. And another was a cool but spicy mildly guac sauce. I’d definitely recommend trying them.
My friend ordered a quesadilla. The shell seemed homemade almost. It was thick and flavorful.
Also, this place has an authentic, custom neon sign!!! I’m a BIG fan of huge authentic real neon signs.

Celebrated my daughter’s 17th birthday here and it was amazing. Great courtesy from the staff and manager, accommodating space, welcoming and friendly service. They were very attentive, aloud is to bring in gifts, balloons and cake mins you toss was last minute. Made a call to the manager and was welcomed with open arms. Great place to visit, excellent food as well, the entire table was happy.
