The food was great but the place was empty. I knew why before we started eating. The waitress was short and smug. We love Mexican food and we eat at every Mexican restaurant this dinner was $80 for 2 adults and an order of French fries and a single burrito. We ate down the road and got the same thing for $60 I hate to say it but your food ain’t that good. I wish it wasn’t so high but ill never be back. That is why it is completely empty at dinner time. Ill never go back.

I have noticed this restaurant get an overhaul. I live out of town but work in the area and after seeing the reviews had to give them a try. Honestly the rest of the Mexican food in Montevallo hasn’t impressed me. The service was great and I was surprised it was so slow but the food was great. They even accommodated when I asked for a compachano taco which isn’t in the menu but they had the ingredients. It’s hard to explain but everything tasted really great but the flavors could pop a little more to make it perfect that and maybe a chip warmer. But I would highly recommend if you’re in the area. I will certainly return

Great service and food. The place is small but the staff greet you at the door ready to seat you. We got our drinks and chips with salsa right after we were seated and had our food out fast. Glad our other plans fell through or we may not have tried this place. Definitely going back many more times to try other things

my boyfriend and I love this place! The atmosphere is so cozy and inviting, service is amazing, food is always fresh and delicious, I can’t recommend this place enough. Los Monchies has become our go-to restaurant for a reasonably priced date night or a special occasion.

My husband and I just ate at Los Monchies Mezcarrita Grill. Lovely little spot right off of Hwy 25. Food was delicious
Highly recommend the choriqueso dip for an appetizer and the chimichanga cheesecake for dessert.
Staff was extremely friendly and super excited to tell us all about their favorite menu items.

I don’t say this lightly, but this might be the best Mexican food I’ve ever had. There’s some secret-sauce level of flavors happening here that I’ve never had anywhere else.
If I had to nitpick, I’d like to see some combination options, but the options and portions are so big it’s not really necessary. I just would like to be able to try more things at once.

Came here for lunch. The chips and Salsa were yummy !! Service was great but the food was even better. We did the ceviche, pork pastor tacos and carne tacos. The corn tortillas were made fresh. All was delicious and we will definitely be coming back. Cleanliness is a.big thing for me and everything was clean and well done. It is a 10 out of 10 for a small local authentic meal. It was too warm to eat outside but they have a huge patio as well that would be perfect for fall !!
