We tried Los Mayas in Lyman for the first time last night and were very pleased! We were sat quickly and service was friendly and fast! The decor is amazing we never would have imagined the inside is huge! We happened to drive by one day and put it on the list to try as we are new in town. Food was great I loved the Quesabirria was not drenched in consume and tortilla not falling apart. They have a Salsa Bar with many options which always gets extra stars for me! We had the same food for dinner otherwise I would share more options. It looks like they have a few locations but not much online regarding menu or photos so I will gladly share where I can because we are recommending them to everyone! Also the plates were a nice wood board which was a fancy touch.

This was our first time here. This was a very beautiful atmosphere & well decorated restaurant. Our waitress was “Glatis” I don’t have a clue how to spell her name, but she had the most amazing energy. If you were in a bad mood she’ll make you smile. Food was delicious and out in a timely manner. We’d definitely go back!

They absolutely loved it — the portions were generous, and everything was very tasty!
The service was excellent — fast, friendly, and with a smile.

What a great find! First time visit. Armando took care of us. Margaritas were some of the best we’ve ever had. Cool vibe. The food? Amazing. Huge portions. Great salsa, both regular and hot. The salsa bar is a great addition also.

I hate having to go out of my way to leave negative reviews, but this is one of the few times where it is 100% warranted.
Wife and I went for lunch/late breakfast around 11am. I ordered chilaquiles with steak and my wife ordered chicken enchiladas.
My chilaquiles were ice cold. They also tasted like they were just a handful of chips tossed in cold, canned tomato sauce. The worst version of this dish I’ve ever had. We notified the waiter and instead of remaking the dish, they threw it in the microwave for 2 minutes and brought it back.
My wife’s enchiladas were bland as hell and tasted of canned products. We sent it all back and they still sent us the check.
Our waiter was great, but I would never suggest this place.
It seems packed a lot so the southerners must’ve found some good chicken and cheese there. Idk. Never again.

Their food was good but their Salsa bar left a lot to be desired. All of their dips were either really salty or just plain bland.

We ordered out. This is the 2nd time we have eaten here. The first time the foid was really goid this time not so much. Both times we ordered the same things, Texas Fajitas for my husband and Nachos Supremes. My Nachos Supremes weren’t really bad but had no cheese, sauce whatever it is they use and my husband’s food was burned both steak and shrimp. I was so excited to finally find a new Mexican Resturant after El Rancho Grande in Travleres Rest closed, I don’t think this is it. The picture is of my husband’s food.

We ate at Los Mayas on the weekend, it looked busy but we got a table right away. Our portions were generous, we split fajitas for two people and even packed some to go.
I liked salsa bar and the salsa was flavorful and actually spicy! Finally we found some authentic salsa.

I judge every Mexican place I go to on whether or not A) they sell lengua and B) if they do, how well they cook it. This place has some of the best lengua tacos I’ve found in the area. Basically, if you cook a cow tongue to this level of deliciousness, you know the easier stuff will blow your mind.

First Mexican restaraunt in many states that is clean, bright and nice decor, no torn seats! Yay! Food was top notch! Loved the chicken and shrimp! Very good food suggestions by server. Shrimp was not overcooked, thankfully!( except 1 pc of beef). Everything was really good. Alll the staff was very attentive, food came out really hot, huge plus! Very good. Chips and salsas good, Salsa bar too! Great job!
