I am thrilled I had an hour to kill while in punta gorda. This restaurant, snuggled in a publix strip mall, is a gem! I’m glad I sat at the bar for lunch, I hope the owners realize what an asset they have in Caesar. He squeezed fresh oranges and limes in front of my eyes to craft the best true, skinny margarita I’ve ever had. He recommended the Pollo la crema which didn’t disappoint this cheeseaholic. The menu is impressive, the space clean and inviting. Don’t hesitate.

The food was delicious and the portions were huge. Started out with chips and salsa and then a waitress made fresh guac at the table to our liking. The meat was seasoned well, great rice, and frijoles. everything was so good. The Molcajete plate was great. It had shrimp, meat, ground beef, chicken , cheese ,peppers. It was enough for 2. Burrito and enchiladas were good too.

We had the table side guacamole the lady had us taste it and made it to order while adjusting the lime for us.
The mole was on point not too spicy and not too much chocolate to taste.
I had the veggie chimichangas with pico de gaco it had minced jalapeño in it. It is on the spicy side.
I gave it a 4 because the service was a little off. We had to ask multiple times for things and our drinks got mixed up.
I would come back.

Just ate at this clean and well run restaurant. I had the tropical fajita and it delicious. 10/10 for the food quality and portions. Waitresses are very friendly and fast service. Highly recommend.

This is a fake mexican restaurant, not even achieving the taste of tex mex. i wanted huevos rancheros and it was INEDIBLE. all the staff hopefully with the exception of chef ? were Cuban who had absolutely no idea about Mexican Food . This restaurant makes me weary of the so called mexican restaurants in this part of the world. I will now observe my rule : Mexican food only in Mexico where it is world class in Merida or Mexico City. This was garbage .. shame for the city of Punta Gorda

I’m only giving a 5 ⭐️ for what I had to eat. And that was table, sigh guacamole. But my dinner, I cannot rate.. Because I did not receive what I order. . New to this restaurant has a large menu. I want it a certain item that was all fish. My husband ordered for me when it came to the table. It was not what he had ordered when the waiter finally came back and I asked him what this was, Did you get me the wrong thing. He explained to me that there are several dishes with that same name. If weight staff knows you’re new and I know they did, they should ask.Do you want this or that? Since it has a same name for several items on their menu. So I wasted my money paid for my meal. And did not eat it. And there was no asking to fix it, or could we get you the correct item? And I understand there is overhead, but I feel like the mistake was on their half, not ours, but I paid for it. And just went home. Put it in the trash.

Another update. This was my 3rd visit. And I changed my rating to 5 stars. Right away I noticed they hand corrected prices on the menu. We ordered a dinner for 2 and it was huge and amazing. Our Server was Marisol she was great. She greeted us at the door with a big smile and sat us and was also our waitress. This is my second visit. The first visit I was very happy. This visit I was not at all pleased. The first thing I would like to bring attention to is the price I was charged on my bill was 2 dollars higher than the posted menu price. I think this is inexcusable and should never happen. When brought to their attention, after they ran my card, they did hand me 2 dollars in cash. Now I will cover the rest of the visit. Shortly after we were sat the guacamole girl came by and made the most delicious guacamole she was very nice and the guacamole was delicious after us eating the whole bowl with the chips we were thirsty we still didn’t see our waitress. I finally went and found the guacamole girl and asked her to bring us 2 waters she quickly did and at that time the waitress showed up for our orders. We both ordered, and the wait was longer than we expected, but that’s OK. The food was served, and the presentation looked good. I ordered 3 tacos, and my husband had huevos ranchero eggs over easy the eggs were well done. He wasn’t impressed and wouldn’t order it again. My tacos were good. We had to flag down the waitress for water refills. The experience at this point wasn’t near the first experience we had here. When the bill arrived and the price was different than printed on the menu I was no longer a happy customer.

Service date: 12/8/25. Our server was Elian T. We had chips and salsa (very good), tableside Guacamole, #5 Burrito with rice and beans, and of course 2 regular 16 oz house margaritas. Our total was $52.30. The entrée we shared as we’ve had it before and knew it was a large portion. This is our 3rd time eating here and it is always very good with great service. If you’re around Punta Gorda we highly recommend.
