We were going to go to whiskey creek for a steak but I thought better of it bc I cook better than whiskey creek does, so we decided to come here instead. While the salsa and beans aren’t my personal favorite, the steak I got was soo good! I love to go out to eat where im not wasting my money!

The desk clerk at our hotel recommended this place for dinner. She said it’s great food, great service and it’s not a chain–it’s owned by a wonderful local family. It was just as she said! The food was amazing and our server was so fun and attentive. The owner’s four-year-old granddaughter entertained us with her dancing and giggles. I’d come here any time!

Never been so pissed in my entire life. Walked in at 255pm had to use the restroom as we were traveling and had been in the car for 6 hours. Sat down to order at 305pm and they REFUSED to let us order from the lunch menu! Every entree was priced 50% more on the dinner menu. Ridiculous.

During our road trip from California, my husband and I stumbled upon this place. Craving authentic Mexican cuisine, I discovered it online and after reading the reviews, we decided to give it a try. We were not disappointed! The food was delicious, the service was top-notch, and the atmosphere was wonderful. I highly recommend it and would definitely return if we find ourselves in the area again.

This was our first time at Los Magueyes. Overall, we were very happy with our experience!
Food: We ordered a Fajita Taco Salad (pictured), Chimichunga (a la carte) and a quesadilla kids meal. We ordered waters and only paid $25. The taco salad was MASSIVE and could easily have fed two people in my opinion. The chimi was good and came with a delicious sauce. The kids meal came with French fries and a drink. The free chips and salsa were good. The chips were a bit lighter and less salty than most Mexican restaurants we’ve tried. The salsa was traditional house salsa with a medium heat.
Customer Service: All of the staff were very friendly and helpful. The food came out super fast and they were attentive to our needs.
Atmosphere: The main dining room has recently been remodeled and is clean and comfortable. There is music playing, but it is at a comfortable level. The only criticism is the bathrooms, which are in rough shape and need a deep clean or remodel.
Definitively give this place a try! We will be back next time we are coming through.

Every time I come I get let down by how disgusting the food is, I ordered 4 tacos de tripa well done and made sure they were well done and got swerved nasty raw meat that was completely inedible and I still had to pay for it. This place is an utter joke of an establishment time after time I keep leaving disappointed from how bad the food is. I make sure to specify how I want the order but the waitress are not to blame because the kitchen can’t follow simple instructions. DO BETTER!!!

The first time they brought out the steak it was well done. I asked for it to be medium and they brought it back not even cooked at all. They only came back to our table one time and there were only our table and one other in there I would never recommend anyone going here unless you want food poisoning
