I’ve lived in Southern California, and used to drive to Mexico to eat. Latin American food is my absolute favorite. This place is the best Mexican food Ive ever had!! I don’t know what kind of poor taste folks would ever give them less than 5 stars (obviously someone who thinks Taco Bell or drowning food in seasoning is authentic…smh). people who are singing them They would get 10 stars out of 5 if that was even posable!! Thank you for an AMAZING dinner!!
Edit: After reading the negative reviews, it appears that some of them seem to be based on something other than the food (iykyk). The service and the food was nothing less than exceptional.

This is a good place to eat. The food was good, the atmosphere was calm, the music was at a good volume, you could talk without raising your voice and the customer service was very good, even though there was only one waitress, sorry I don’t have her name. She was in a very good mood and paid attention to all the instructions we gave her. The food was exactly as we ordered. Congratulations.

As someone from San Antonio, Tx, this is by far the best Mexican food I have had in Florida. I ordered takeout for my daughter and I. The portions were huge, the food was full of flavor. I ordered the enchiladas de mole. Best mole I have had in SO LONG! My daughter had the cheese enchiladas. She said this was the best Mexican food she had ever had! Too bad we live in Palm Harbor/Clearwater or we would frequent more often. I will have to request more softball tournaments out this way.

We stopped in on a Saturday afternoon around 4. The hostess was no where to found and no sign to let us know whether to seat ourselves or wait to be seated. A man that was eating, got up to find the hostess. Manager or owner possibly? We were seated with menus and brought the obligatory chips and salsa, which I truly love. The salsa was loaded with cilantro, which tasted like soap to me. Yes I’m one of those with that special gene. I can ignore it in small quantities, which this was not. As we looked at the menu, I noticed there was a beer menu, but didn’t mention margaritas at all. We noticed a bar at the entrance, though no one was working it and lights were off. I asked about margaritas and was told house or strawberry. I decided on house, the hubs has a dark Mexican beer. After perusing the menu, we decided on just an appetizer, since we were off to shop. Very limited on appetizers, decided on the queso. It came out almost melted and super bland. No chips accompanied the queso, just the ones that came out originally with the salsa. She did ask us if we would like more a bit later. We will go back to try the Chile Verde, some day, but I’m in no hurry. I felt it was a little pricey for what was offered.

I went in for shrimp ceviche, queso dip and agua de jamaica. It was really good. Service was great! Will go again.

We have lived in The Villages for a little over a year and tried several different Mexican restaurants that were just okay. We have finally found a true family run Mexican restaurant with authentic food.

Great find for authentic Mexican dishes. I had steak ala mexicana and it was so tasty. The homemade corn tortillas were some of the best I’ve found. Margarita was good as well. Prompt service without being overly attentive.

Beautiful inside the booths were incredible. They had one server who was excellent. She was efficient and well prepared.
The food was presented nicely unfortunately it was flavorless. Come on chefs a little seasoning would have made the chicken fajitas, carnitas and sauces pop. You obviously know how to cook add the flavor that Mexico is known for.
I will be back to give a second chance.

Restaurant was very busy but our table for 12 was ready per our reservation and we were seated immediately upon arrival. Our drink and meal orders were taken shortly, complimentary chips & salsa served. Food took a little longer than normal due to heavy business and short staff. Food near as excellent and hot. Drinks, chips, salsa all refilled promptly.
