Went for dinner after having friends rave about the food. They did I nice job making this a Mexican restaurant after the wing joint forever. Monday night so not busy. Food was good and came out in a timely fashion. The service could have been better on the refills, the waiter was very polite. I would dine again.

I have lived in Southern Texas and Southern New Mexico and have travelled different parts of Mexico numerous times, so I know a thing or 2 about authentic Mexican Food. This place is amazing, the mole chicken enchiladas were the best ever and the Asada burrito was top notch. I’m not a huge fan of beans and rice but they were absolutely delicious. The depth of flavor in the dishes rivals the flavors found at my favorite MX restaurant, Rosarios in San Antonio, TX. I veeeeeery highly recommend this place.

Bright and festive upon entry. I had decided on the Chilaquiles before we’d arrived as I had seen them prepared but never eaten them. Also, I was feeling Brunch-y and they are served with an egg. I was pleasantly surprised that the tortillas retained some crunch given that they are soaked in a sauce. The sauce seemed like a pureed salsa with maybe a little bit of cheese? It was supposed to be a green tomatillo sauce which I would have preferred. Nevertheless the toppings of avocado, egg, pico de gallo, and queso fresco were all fresh and tasty. Halfway through it occurred to me to add hot sauce and that ramped up the flavors. My companion had the Cobb Salad with grilled chicken. Even though it was white meat (obviously not our fav) it was tasty and moist. The avocado dressing was thin but tasty. We didn’t have drinks and shouldn’t have eaten the whole basket of tortilla chips and salsa while we waited. The aforementioned music was loud and the waiter had to ask us to repeat our meal selection. They did lower the volume after that. Ultimately a good experience and I would return!

It was Friday night, 9:30, and we were a party of 11 – they were set to close at 10p. They took us in and took great care of us. The drinks were perfect and the food was delicious. We’ll be dropping in when in town again!

I personally think this is the best Mexican restaurant in Kingston! New business located on Albany Ave – the original is in New Paltz and this is their second location. Really good food, drinks and also a nice home town vibe inside. I really liked the empanadas and jalepeno poppers. Would recommend!
