Stopped in at Los Girasoles in Silverton between jobs because it looked like a nice little spot. The place is simple but clean, with plenty of space to sit comfortably.
I ordered a torta—one of my go-to items when it’s done right. It was okay, but nothing memorable. I was expecting more flavor and that classic toasted bread that gives a torta the right texture and depth.
That said, the pastries looked really good, and the location is great. I’m not trying to be harsh—I just think they can step it up if they want to deliver a more authentic Mexican experience. I’d come back and try something else.

The food was delicious! We had tacos and the tortillas were homemade which is always a plus. Plus, they were big! They also had a panaderia there with lots of variety. From someone that lives 40 minutes away, I would definitely go back for bread and try other foods too.

Super cute place! The tacos were huge and in handmade tortillas which I loved and they came pretty quickly after ordering. They also had a Bakery inside with probably the best bread I’ve had in a while, in a wide variety. Definitely try the stuffed bread!!

Such fabulous food. We had the Migas Burrito and the burrito bowl with al pastor. Sooooo good! We didn’t have any pastries but they were baking them fresh and lots of people stopped by to get them. Highly recommend!

Foods is pretty good. It is only a little difficult if you want burritos with no onion. It looks like the meat was made with onions. I have a special needs son who will not eat onions.

Overall, we thought this is the best Mexican in town! We called in our order and it took about 2x the estimated time, but almost everything was delicious. All three of my tacos were great – pastor, fish and carne asada. Particularly the pastor and fish. The enchiladas were very good too. The main complaint was with the torta – the bread was soooo hard. Other than that, we loved everything we tried and will definitely come back for those items.

Great Mexican food! Very old school authentic style. The carne asada was good. Food was hot and fresh for our whole group. Sauces on the table were actually hot which is my favorite 🙂

Anytime I’m down in this area, I make a POINT to get food from here. For such a cute, unassuming place, the food and baked goods are phenomenal. The staff is pleasant and clearly doing their best when it’s busy, even though the wait is always worth it. I recommend this place to anyone I know is going to be nearby!
