We had just arrived and checked into our Airbnb (only about two minutes away) when a friend was craving Mexican food, so we headed to Los Cuates Taqueria. The place was packed, which is always a good sign.
I really enjoyed the tray of nachos, especially with the sauce bar lots of great options to customize the flavours. I ordered the veggie tostada and taco, and both were fresh, flavorful, and satisfying. My friends went with the quesa birrias and absolutely loved them.
Overall, great food, lively atmosphere, and a solid choice if you’re nearby or looking for authentic, comforting Mexican food. Definitely worth the stop.

In a never ending search for the best burritos in the Bay, I’m glad I found another solid option in Los Cuates. Super nice folks behind the counter, clean, organized restaurant, a solid salsa bar, and fantastic food.
The regular carne burrito was piping hot, and perfectly wrapped with a perfect balance of delicious meat, rice, beans, and salsa. Nothing groundbreaking, just solid Mexican food at reasonable prices served by nice folks. We need more places like Los Cuates.

12/26/2025: The taco salads $14.50 are good at Los Cuates. If I have to eat something every other day, their taco salads would be it. The shell is flicky and not too crunchy. I like breaking it apart at the end and dip it onto the their different salsas. The green salsa is my favorite one. It is not that spicy and has good flavors. Good job my friends at Los Cuates.

Most of the taquerias I’ve been to, their salsa bars were still closed. There are no labels on the salsa so it was an adventure to see which one was the spiciest. We wholeheartedly had smiles on our faces the entire time eating here. Great job chefs and waitstaff at Los Cuates.

I’m being generous with 4 ⭐ it’s more like a 3.5 these tacos aren’t going to “wow” you.
For the price it’s okay. Lengua/cabeza it’s that almost slimy texture. It has a little bit of flavor at least. Double tortilla. The tortillas aren’t any special either. The chips are good they don’t have a fresh taste but they’re pretty good.
It’s not a bad restaurant nor is it authentic. It’s good for the location it’s like your average taco restaurant in Cali.

Can’t believe I hadn’t tried this place before! I had dinner here for 3 consecutive nights. No joke. Chile Verde, pollo super nachos, cabeza super burrito. All was fantastic. Omg!!! The Fajitas are the bomb , the meat well marinade beef and chicken. Beans and Rice super tasty. Salsas are really good as well. Prices are very affordable, and portions are generous! A must to try if you are in Daly City!
