I absolutely love this place!! I’m from So Cal and Los Cuates is the only Mexican restaurant I will eat at in Raleigh. It’s so reminiscent of the Mexican food I get from home. I’ve been going here since 2010ish and will never stop! The owner Claudia is a sweet person too! All the employees are friendly and patient!

As a so cal transplant (San Diego) this place really brings me back home. The only thing I wish was different was I wish they had a Durham location too. 🙂 It’s very authentic southern California style Mexican food and the service is quick and easy with plenty of places to sit at this particular location. We’ll definitely visit again.

Went for lunch. Very friendly staff. Quick service. They have a nice salsa bar. They bring you a basket of chips and then you have several salsas to choose from.

I am born and raised from San Diego and half mexican. This place is the closest taco shop I have found in North Carolina to San Diego mexican food. The only two reasons I did not give 5 stars is because of their portion sizes. Los Cuates is much more expensive and we get half the portions we get at any taco shop in San Diego. Their burritos often come out looking like a rolled taco.

Man, this was so good. I’ve been craving a breakfast burrito for weeks and my favorite breakfast burrito place closed down not too long ago. Was Googling for somewhere nearby and this came up. I ordered a burrito, an agua fresca, some chips, salsa, and a street taco. I’m saving the street taco and most of the chips and salsa for later but omg. I feel so satisfied with just the burrito and the aqua fresca (which is HUGE btw). The breakfast burrito was so good can’t even explain it. The salsa is also a little spicy but dang, so flavorful. Agua fresca is really good to a little sweet and there’s something a little different about it but it’s not a bad thing. Also I wanna mention for ALL this food and a delivery fee and tip, I paid like $30.

Tried the casa birria taco was recommended by a friend. Got regular birria tacos instead with no sauce to dip, the tortillas were dry as well

My go-to for this style of Mexican. Amazingly cheap for the quality and portion of what you get, the salsa bar is solid, and the staff is friendly. Negra Modelo on draft is a huge bonus.
