Came to try this spot based on the reviews and I love a family owned business. Decent take on Mexican food. I ordered 3 hard shell tacos (shredded beef/chicken & ground beef) and a salvadorian tamale with rice and beans. Chips were crisp and fresh salsa was okay I prefer spicy less watery salsa. The chicken taco was slightly dry but still good. Shredded beef was the best and the ground beef was okay. (Im not too big on ground beef) Everything needed salt but I prefer things on the salty side. The tamale reminded me of a pastelle (Puerto Rican tamale) it was tasty and the masa had good consistency and flavor.

The atmosphere was a little strange there was no music or background ambience, since it’s a small place the quiet made it awkward. Other than that very clean and friendly place.

We are in town, visiting family and craving some Enchiladas. We’re from SE Texas, and Tex-Mex is a staple. The Cheese Enchiladas with Green Chili’s are some of the best I’ve ever had. Glad we stopped at this family ran shop. Great food and Great People

I was craving Mexican food. I searched up where the closest one was and it brought up, “Los Cuates.” It was a small place but the food was veryyyy good and the people were very nice. We got seated very quickly. As for food, The chips and salsa were a great start to the meal. I got the beef tacos with bean and rice. Definitely recommend. 5 stars!

Hole in the wall “Mexican” restaurant with a tiny dining room. Its actually a Salvadoran run Mexican restaurant so the food is different but very well done and delicious. Service is quick, they make it while you wait. I always do the carne asade burrito, which I consider the standard by which to judge any Mexican restaurant *wink. No rice, no beans- the way it should be. But from there it’s different. Red sauce or green sauce inside? What? I choose the red which is spicy and delicious. There are no onions and cilantro inside. OK. Just meat and sauce. Different but good. I get a cup of salsa, but find with the sauce inside, I don’t need it. After a short wait, they bring it to me in white paper bag with napkins and a friendly thank you with a smile. Im happy.

Food tasted delicious. Masa on tamale was a little heavy but it had a good amount of tasty meat. Really good service. Combination Mexican and El Salvadorian food options. Not a real fancy place but the food makes up for it. Good horchata too

The food was okay. We ordered chili cheese fries, burrito plate and taco plate. My tacos de asada were so dry & had little to no flavor. even fresh, The fries were so soggy. i wish they were a little crispier considering the chili made them even more soggy but they were the best thing we had, with side of sour cream and guac it made the flavor better. Although we ordered togo, we ate everything as soon as it came out and it was all just mid. very lacking in flavor. Great prices and portions, would possibly return for something else
