I stopped in to order a take out dinner for myself and my granddaughter. A Pork carnita meal with flour tortillas, bean and beef burrito side order (I guess they call it a pony), and nuggets and fries for my granddaughter. Also, a screwdriver while I waited. We spoke in detail about the order before it was placed. Sandy and Zoie (?), our regular waitresses, weren’t there so I had to work with a new waitress. To start with, my new waitress didn’t know how to make a screwdriver so I had to tell her. Learning curve…. I can appreciate that. When I got home and started unpacking the food, I noticed that there wasn’t a burrito. I called and spoke with a man who said that she never placed a burrito on the order. If I wanted to order one, it would be an additional $11.25. I decided it wasn’t worth going back, and paying more, for what I had thought that I had already paid for. We continued getting the food out and realized that I didn’t get the tortillas. I called back and spoke with the waitress. She told me that she had forgotten the tortillas. Recap: I had to tell her how to make a screwdriver, didn’t get the burrito that we had discussed in depth, and didn’t get the tortillas, both of which I thought I had already paid for. Also, their nonchalant way of handling this whole thing was totally unprofessional.

Service was fast and attentive. Homemade salsa was delicious. Los Campos burrito was delicious. Came with beef, I ordered chicken, but I ate it. Still tasty. Ticket was correct so obviously a kitchen error but I was not upset. Left satisfied and with a full belly. Will stop in again next time we are in the area.

OMG! I encourage everyone to check this place out. I had the la crema chicken enchiladas and the flavor was better than wonderful! Husband had a massive beef burrito that was visually stunning. Front of house were very inviting and made us feel like we were a member of the Los Compas family. DH said he has a new favorite spot to eat. I second that! Check it out, yummy stuff!

Everyone who waited on us was friendly. Chris, I believe, was very informative about the food and portion size. My husband ordered a burrito & I ordered enchiladas. They were very, very good. A local told us about the place, and he was right. Very good, authentic Mexican food. We are here on vacation, but if we lived close, this would be our go-to for Mexican food.

Outstanding food and service with reasonable prices. Dining room open and following COVID protocols, masks and disinfecting tables between guests. Our table had a pork tamale, shredded beef burrito, shredded beef chimichanga, enchiladas and street tacos. All delicious, we’ll be back. Very accommodating, customized 10 year old’s burrito to a breakfast burrito. Service was prompt without being intrusive.

Searched Google for Mexican Restaurants for lunch in Canon City. Once I finally got a decent signal (Verizon ) read that Los Compas Mexican Restaurant has 4.6 out of 5… Located on Google Maps, and proceeded to Los Compas. Went inside and was greeted by “Wendy” who seated my wife and I. Los Compas serves breakfast all-day, and doesn’t really have a lunch menu. My wife chose the Four Street Taco’s, and I ordered the two entree plate of burrito and taco, with rice and beans on the side. Opted for green chili on the burrito. Portions were generous and the food was delicious. Wife also had a Margarita, which also was decent size and price was reasonable. Can honestly review food ,service and prices were excellent . Recommend as a great Mexican Restaurant dining experience in Canon City.
