Los Compadres is a fantastic spot to get satisfied by flavorful meals! The decor was fantastic and the food was amazing. Soul, our waitress, was fantastic and made the meal even better! I ordered the Molcajete Compadre and it was great!

The food is decent, as you’d expect in any Mexican restaurant in America. The problem is with the door greeter. He was on his phone incessantly and I had to wait for him to finish the tik-tok video he was watching to be acknowledged and seated. Speaking of the seating… they went for a “custom” design of wood. The problem is… the seating is uncomfortable and the seat I was in actually had a protruding nail head right at the level of my knee cap…. Yes, I’m leaving with blood trickling down my leg. I’m about as enthusiastic about this place as the workers… a 3 out of 5

I’ve been to a lot of Mexican restaurants, but Los Compadres has quickly become one of my favorites. From the moment you walk in, the atmosphere feels warm and welcoming. The décor is colorful without being overwhelming, and the music gives you that authentic vibe without being too loud to hold a conversation.
The food is nothing short of amazing. Their carne asada tacos are perfectly seasoned, and the tortillas taste fresh, like they were made minutes before hitting your table. The salsa has just the right kick, and their guacamole is creamy with a nice hint of lime.
What really makes this place stand out, though, is the service—especially from Raquel. He goes above and beyond to make sure you feel taken care of. He’s friendly without being intrusive, knows the menu like the back of his hand, and always checks in at the perfect time. You can tell he genuinely enjoys what he does, and it makes the whole dining experience even better.
Whether you’re stopping by for a quick lunch or a big family dinner, Los Compadres delivers every time. Great food, fair prices, and top-notch service—especially if you’re lucky enough to have Raquel as your server.

I usually go to the one on the belt, but we had to try our the new restaurant. I love the way they have it decorated. It is so nice with all of the wood. The food and service is just as good as the the first restaurant. No matter which one you go to you will get delicious food and great family friendly service!

Food is nasty meat is way too salty and tastes like aldis microwave meat and on top of that charged my card $16 to swipe on top of wanting a tip here’s a tip Al pastor is made with real pineapple not canned and drain the barbacoa it’s salty and inedible only thing that was edible was the tamale it was dry oh and if u want to try salsa they charge u for that as well I’ll stick to Leo’s food is way better atmosphere way better and they tell u they charge 2% on cards which ends up being $2 at most not $16 I will never eat at this place again as the original got me sick and smells horrible inside very disappointed with this establishment as whole and how it has two locations blows me cause out of all the places I’ve had this is by far disgusting

Los Compadres’ downtown location was delicious! Great food, atmosphere, and friendly wait staff. I like it better than the Belt location.

Steer clear of this place and go to the belt location instead. Cheese sauce was luke warm and thats being generous. The plates our food was served on was hotter than the actual food itself. The rice had obvious clumps to where you can tell it was old and repurposed. When we complained about it, it felt like our complaint fell on deaf ears, ended up paying 65$ for one taco, one chimichanga, 2 sodas, chips and cheese sauce. HIGHLY DISSAPOINTED. Will not return.
