Great quality and prices! I was not a fan of the carnitas (not a lot of flavor) but the carne asade was good. The green medium sauce and beans were my favorite. The super burritos are huge and enough for 2 people! Outdoor seating for us to sit with our dogs.

Back in the USA after many years, and have been bingeing on mexican. Los Compadres did not disappoint. Yes we waited…about twenty minutes which was what we were told when we ordered, but for those complaining about speed, signs clearly state they don’t do fast food. Good food is worth the wait, and they really delivered on that front. I thoroughly enjoyed my MASSIVE bean and cheese, wet, mole, burrito, and my lunch companions loved their dishes as well. If you are passing through Crescent City, this place is well worth a visit!

Got the huge taco with fried corn tortilla shell and shredded beef and traditional toppings. SO good! The salsa was also delicious. My friend got the same taco but with fish and also loved it. Service was wonderful and ill be back again to try the street tacos next time!

The food here is absolutely delicious. If you’re getting tacos, definitely ask for the homemade tortillas—they make a huge difference. I had a fish and shrimp taco paired with a horchata, and it was spectacular, especially while enjoying the beautiful view of the Pacific Ocean. The service was great, the atmosphere was relaxed and chill, and I’ll definitely be back for more amazing food.

I’ve dined there three times, and each was exceptional. The pork verde soft tacos may be the best tacos I’ve ever eaten. Large, delicious and reasonably priced. Truly outstanding.
And the guy working the counter/serving was busting his butt. Great little spot. Highly recommend.
*This is a real restaurant, not a fast food joint. Don’t expect your food in 30 seconds.

This food directly compares to that of Southern California, San Diego! Most of us Hispanics judge the quality of Mexican food by their beans and rice. These get an A+. The California burrito was great! As for the customer service, Wow!

we came into town hungry after a few miles hiking and a light breakfast. it was in the afternoon and we were heading to another set of hikes. the saw this ;little place and using my usual guide of the humbler the place looks the better the food is rule of road trips went in. we ordered after being warned the burrito was the size of a baby to go for the tacos. and a side of fries. One the place is clean quite and well attended. tow the large tacos are LARGE, the Fries are LARGER and nicely spiced not jut salt. I had the Lengua and my better half the carne aside . hers had onion cilantro and guacamole. mine only the onion and cilantro. Hers was tasty moist tender meat and the guacamole was great . these were made on corn tortillas (freshly made in house) and crisps on the grackle! they are fantastic. the lingua was very very tender and nicely spiced.
My background ,Italian American raised in El Monte CA with mostly Hispanic friends) and living in Huntington Beach Ca. 5 mile from some of Americas Best Mexican food in Santa Ana Ca. this place ranks with the best of Santana as we call it,

The fried ground beef tacos here are simply the best of any others I’ve had across America. This is not a one trick pony menu item spot, but if it was, they’d be the trick! The service is very friendly and good, and the decor is consistent with a roadside Mexican restaurant. I’m a regular here only because of taco excellence.

I have been coming to this restaurant for years, they always had amazing food! I always get the carne asada super/Large Burrito and my daughter always get the same but the small burrito we both could literally only eat half! They were huge… I hadn’t been there for 6-7 months and a couple days ago we went and I took some friends and I had been bragging about these burritos! And sadly idk if ownership changed or the cooks changed but the super burritos were the size of the small burritos and the small burritos were, well small… and the cost went up as well… I can expect the cost to go up, but for the cost and the size?? I was embarrassed! I was bragging to my buddies about how massive the burritos were and then they came out and I was like wait, we got the super, not the small, and the younger kid said they were the super, and then the small one came out and I realized the restaurant cut their burrito sizes in half… but since if my favorite restaurant in CC, I gave it a second chance before I drove 7 hours back home thinking maybe the cooks that day were just not making them normal, nope same thing… this restaurant has been known for their massive burritos and portions in general. And sadly this won’t be my go to, the restaurant right down the road has bigger burritos in the area now.. I do hope though you guys go back to the way you guys were I few months back and bring back the big burritos, the ones you couldn’t ever pick up! I’ll be back in a month I may try it out again just in case… but as of now, for the price, I’d have to recommend the restaurant you pass before this place. I’ll update my review if this place goes back to their roots though.
