This has been our go to place for quite some time. We always get the same thing and we loved the previous owners! The taste and the service were what kept us coming back.
We came in tonight and were thrown off by changes, but decided to give it a chance with hopes it would be the same.
The attentiveness isn’t there anymore. Our chip basket was over half tiny broken pieces. Our water cup had something on the outside of it that looked like mold. No one stopped by to offer refills. The guiso didn’t have any of the heat and way more of a tangy flavor. The consistency of the pork was different as well. Some of the tortillas were hard. The cheese dip was different as others have mentioned and not nearly as good.
The portions are also smaller for a higher cost. They no longer offer a free sopapilla with your meal either.
With all of this said, I am sure some people are still going to enjoy eating here. I’m sad that our favorite meal and experience is gone and we personally won’t be returning.

Not too bad. But not highly impressed. The price is higher than usual and the food is good, but not exceptional. Really expensive drinks. Not on my list for coming back. Again service was great, food was good, but is missing the taste of Mexico flair.

I’ve been going to Los Compadres in Norman for several years. Did they recently change owners? Portions were small. Queso tasted like velveta cheese dip. Beef enchiladas had very little beef and flour tortillias instead of corn. I had to ask for set up. Better off going to Taco Bueno or Taco Bell.

New Owners, horrible service. Had to ask for everything and I mean everything.. never picked up any trash, used napkins, or used plates. Enchiladas were old. Had to ask for Togo plate and had to ask for bill. New Owner was irritated because all he wanted to do was talk on his phone. He even had the audacity to sigh when we asked for it to go box. Oh, and did I mention that they don’t sell alcohol anymore?.

This is the best Mexican place I’ve eaten at in a long time. They had an extremely extensive menu. I was with a few friends and when all the food arrived, I could have eaten anything that was on the table as it all looked delicious. My dish with fried catfish and shrimp was absolutely wonderful. I’m looking forward to going back.

WOW what a hidden gem. Greeted as soon as we entered the restaurant. Promptly, our drink order was taken as we were handed menus. So many speciality items it was amazing. The waiter really took his time and explained several of the popular menu items. We had told him that this was our first time eating at this restaurant. The food was out piping hot and the flavor was amazing. They have their own homemade salsa that is awesome. And the portions are large enough for any hunger pangs you may be experiencing. We will be most certainly going back soon.

Lunch specials are the way to go here. I got the chicken enchiladas plate and it was super delicious. They bring chips with salsa and queso before the plate comes out. The salsa is spicy and full of flavor. The queso was excellent also. If you want to add more spice to your plate add some salsa to your dish. The special also comes with a sopapilla for dessert. Service was spot on and tables were nice and clean. Love the food here. ❤️

The food was great and the service was exceptional! We just moved here from Arizona and have definitely found our Mexican restaurant. The tacos and taco salad were delicious. We can’t wait to try out more dishes from the menu.
