I love to go try places and a friend recommended the cafe de la olla. We arrived the party of 2 plenty of tables but they were dirty. It took about ten minutes to get a table. The staff was friendly but they are definitely short staff. On our side of the restaurant it was waitress and she had about 5-6 tables to tend to . We ordered menudo and gorditas . The menudo had a smell usually means they didn’t wash and prepare correctly. The Gorditas were delicious chicharon and asada . Unfortunately I won’t go back not worth the long wait to seat or get our food .

Service is lousy!! My husband got his food first, then 20 minutes later my granddaughter got hers then after that I waited another 15 minutes then I got mine. By that time my husband was already finished with his food. They gave me my food cold! And they weren’t even busy. So I don’t know why it took this long to receive my plate of food.
This will be the last time i go there.They need to improve in their service! do not recommend it’s not the first time it happened but lesson learned.

Fresh home made, real tortillas! Barbacoa tacos was amazing! Very good food. I will be back for more, but the best things that ties it all together is the salsa. Not only is the variation different it’s amazing! It’s worth going just for the salsa.

My sister and I decided to give it a try after noticing how many vehicles are parked in the parking lot every weekend, and we were pleasantly surprised at how good it is. Now we understand why it always seems to be really busy, their food is amazing and authentic Mexican food. Give a chance I promise you’ll be back

Only 6 minutes away from Stockyards, but half the price and much much better than any Mexican place there.
We have tried the tacos, sopes, entomatadas, burritos, and gorditas. Flavor is on point, as close to Mexico as you can get. You must try their red and green salsas!
Place is clean, comfortable AC, and the owners are the nicest people. Service is fast.

The food is amazing! We are coming back for sure! La barbacoa está deliciosa y las gorditas de rajas con queso are out of this world! The wait time is a bit long but it’s so worth it! Did I mention they make their own tortillas? Yum! I’ll be back soon!

Feb 14 was definitely short staffed waitress seemed overwhelmed , 3 people for a busy day was not enough because they had dirty tables and still have to check out customers and take orders which I understand . But the quality in the food and prices have gone down. I don’t mind paying more, but the quality is not good anymore less food more money.

Fast friendly service. Excellent tasting Street Tacos rice and beans were delicious too. Atmosphere was pretty chill and pleasant. Green salsa was very delicious aswell. A++ Well be a returning costumer.
