The cajeta they provided for dipping was awesome, but for a churros store to be called “Churros Loco”, they should have done much better. I understand why there weren’t many customers. The churros were too expensive and, in my opinion, too dry. Instead of making their own, they should have simply bought some frozen churros from Mexico or a similar place.
At this point, it is better to buy a pre-packaged frozen churro because we will not be able to notice the difference.
These churros are too sweet and thick, resembling a puffy and crusty biscuit rather than the flaky, Latin American churros I’ve experienced in Mexico and Colombia.
Response to the owners:
I’m not Mexican, but I’ve visited numerous Mexican restaurants in Arkansas and Texas. Many other true Mexicans in your reviews share my similar feelings of distaste. I’m not alone in this aspect. Additionally, I’m well-versed in Latin American cuisine, including Colombian, Dominican, and Panamanian dishes. Let’s be realistic; the Mexican food you’re referring to is widely available.
This is not a paid review. Your response to me and others when we mention the flavors or distaste of your products is very revealing. Instead of trying to change, you disregard us and refuse to take responsibility. People will gradually stop visiting you. Not because your food is not well but the fact you not even willing to listen to your clients. Food is something so simple, we don’t have to lie about. Take responsibility and improve.

A great little restaurant tucked away in the mall food court. The asada fries were delicious! The owner is extremely friendly and perfectly willing to cook to order how you want something and strives to make the customer happy. The tortas are also very good!

The Carne Asada Fries are to die for ! It’s definitely filling! My boyfriend and I shared a plate and didn’t finish it, we forsure took the leftovers home! The staff is so attentive and sweet ! The asked us if we needed anything or extra sauces, while we were eating. Definitely the best Mexican spot to eat at the NWA mall ! I also am lactose and the “short haired lady” that was there was so quick to know that I was lactose (I take lactaid with my meals) even made sure the cook there got the order right ! Definitely coming back here in the near future !

Just tried their churro. For a restaurant called churros, it was quite underwheming. Burnt outside, and dry inside. One of the wrist churro I have ever eaten.

This place has to be the worst Mexican food I’ve tried . Food was flavorless the asada tasted old and over cooked, to the point where it was crunchy. The salsa is completely watered down with no flavor. The salsa makes the taco better but not even the salsa could save the food as it was equally bad. I’ve gave this place a couple of shots, with high hopes of it getting better and I was disappointed again. I Will definitely not be returning. Over priced and dull food!

This is my new favorite little spot to go to. I got the asada fries and they were amazing even my picky 8 month old was begging me for more bites.

I’ve been here a few times. I’ll just start with saying that the tacos are pretty flavorless and dull. Now the churros I’ve tried twice now and both times they are some of the worst churros I’ve ever had. When ordering a churro the last visit, I asked the guy (who is not friendly) if they had dulce de leche in the middle, he simply nodded his head yes. Once I received my churro that was as crunchy as a Cheeto on the outside, I took a bite and noticed the inside was still raw and doughy so to speak. So I go back to ask the guy about the dulce de leche, he simply handed me a little container of caramel sauce. I know it was caramel because I dunked my poorly cooked churro in there and took a big ol bite. Jack N the Box got better churros if you ask me. Worst thing about this place is the owners response to all the negative reviews. Not taking accountability or trying to better themselves. I get the whole “customer is always right” is long gone, but that doesn’t mean you’re always right. I’d say it’s kind of like Tex-Mex food, but that would be a disgrace to Tex-Mex food.

Definitely will not be trying this place again. I ordered a burrito for lunch today, and barely got half way through it before having to toss it. The man who took my order wasn’t very friendly or inviting, and seemed irritated with my simple questions. I am now sick and not feeling well, the burrito definitely tasted off. Even my husband took a bite and spit it out.

I really wanted to like this place so we came and tried something different this time. Ordered a #1 two tacos de carne asada and two de Chicarron, something simple. The chicarron came out a bag and was very hard and the carne asada was just ok. The workers are very kind but other then that this is not the place to grab a bite.
