Local Mexican restaurant serving up traditional Tex Mex with some traditional Mexican favorites. It’s on par with what you expect from a family owned Mexican restaurant. The food is fresh and made with love. And the service was excellent. The guacamole on this visit was the best guacamole I have had so long as I could remember. So wow, kudos on the guac!

The carne asada was dry and tough we couldn’t even eat it , the rice had the taste of a microwave , just did not have a good experience there , ate there I believe when the first opened up , but coming from Chicago I cannot find Mexican food in Florida that compares to the Pilsen neighborhood of Chicago nor Chinese ! Just not good quality of food down here for those 2 cuisines , sorry

You can tell a lot about a Mexican restaurant from the salsa, or in this case, salsas! The salsa fresca was great from the first bite & everything we ate only got better tasting! We asked for hot sauce, which was hot & flavorful, too. Even the salsa verde was wonderful! I figured that we couldn’t miss with fresh guacamole…I was right… delicious! Our portions were good, the prices were fair, the service was kind, prompt, friendly & helpful. We liked it so much that we returned for dinner the next day.

Food was absolutely amazing! Delicious and authentic flavors. Presentation on point. Friendly and courteous staff. Definitely exceeded my expectations. Take it from a born and raised mexican. Definitely the best MEXICAN food I’ve had in the States in 10 years living here.

Please go somewhere else. The food awful. The beef taco salad was floating with grease and water from the lettuce. I had to pour it off the plate. My wife got a chicken taco salad and had a huge piece if skin with cartilage and hunks of bone in it. Almost the size of a drumstick. Impossible to overlook when preparing a dish. So many choices pick a different one.

It was me and my boyfriends first time here and we got the Barbacoa, steak, and shrimp tacos. We originally picked this place because they had a 5 star review, but sadly we were very disappointed, none of the tacos had any flavor or seasoning. The barbacoa was very juicy but had the least flavor out of them all. They providing a few different sauces and they were all very flavorless and very watery as if they added a lot of water to them. Was very disappointed, I’m not sure if the rest of the food is good and that’s where the reviews came from, but I don’t see myself coming back.

I was excited to try a new Mexican place, being it is locally owned and not a chain. Reading the number of 5* reviews made me even more excited. This place fell F L A T. We were greeted immediately and sat. Only customers in the store. They quickly brought out our drinks as well as chips and salsa. While the salsa had a good flavor, the chips were very bland and flavorless. The waiter quickly tried to take our order, but we were not ready yet. We decided, and waited. The server was up by the bar area playing on his phone or something, paying no attention that we were ready. After nearly 10 minutes, he glanced up and saw me waving. He took our orders. The guac is homemade to order. It took a minute to get made and come out. Great texture and flavor, but that couldn’t save the chips. I orders the enchiladas, which was 4 different kinds so I could sample many of the fillings. The ground beef and beans used were bland. The chicken was decent, the cheese one was really good. My friend ordered the Tortilla Soup and added chicken. The bowl of soup was HUGE. The soup, unfortunately, my friend didn’t care for, there was no wow factor at all. She ate about 1/4 of it, and did not care to take the rest home. We have not decided if we will give this place a second try, if I do, will probably be at lunch time when it’s a little busier to see if that makes a difference. Being the only table on a Friday night during the peak dinner rush time spoke volumes.
