This place is worth a stop for sure. A little bit elevated above your typical Mexican. Their salsa verde is even elevated, give it a try. I was also surprised with their happy hours which are 3-5, discount on house drinks and apps!

After a long day I was craving some Mexican food. I’m not from Pittsburgh so I googled a couple places, this place had a lot of nice reviews so I decided to go try it out. First thing I noticed was the establishment is small and cramped. U have to squeeze your way through the dining area to your seat. The waitress doesn’t seat you either . The chips and salsa were stale & bland . I ordered a sprite as my drink and was surprised when they handed me a 12oz can of sprite with a straw. I ended up ordering a chimichanga burrito & a side of rice and beans and was utterly disappointed when my food was brought out to me. The beans were watery, the rice was bland , they threw wet lettuce on my plate with no dressing or vinaigrette I don’t know why that was even on the plate. My burrito was bland. I didn’t even finish my meal. The only positive thing I can say was the guacamole WASNT SO bad 🙂 would not give this place another try .

The food is really good. I ordered a fish taco and an al pastor taco. They were exquisite, flavorful and generous in size. The chips and salsa appetizer was a little bland, but the table hot sauce is tasty and if you ask, they will bring a little hotter sauce from the kitchen that is much more exciting and a touch more spice. Service was okay but it was the meal that really sparkled.

Good homemade Mexican food, at a very good price. Their combination meals you have to take home with you. No alcohol, but you can BYOB. I have been here quite a few times now, and I have yet to be disappointed. Everything I’ve tried has been excellent ( take a look at the pics). Prices are quite reasonable, and the portions large.
They are now serving alcohol

Family owned place. Charming decor.

Friendly staff.

I got a few burritos to go. Lunch for the week!

Chile Relleno is excellent!
Chile Verde and California burritos are in the fridge, but look great.

I saw someone had complained that the salsa is red water- It’s house made taco sauce Dip your burrito in it- It’s delicious. You’ll practically want to drink it.

Best burrito since I lived in El Paso

Food was well packaged to go.

Definitely going to be back for the Relleno.

The chips and salsa were the worst, getting it from a jar and bag was probably a better bet than getting it here. Cold, bland, not good.
Chimichanga was not good and not authentic in any way
Quesadilla was also not good and not authentic it was basically a depression meal when you microwave some Walmart shredded cheese and a tortilla
$42 for 2 meals is wild for a place like this.
It makes me so sad to get bad food 🙁
also who puts shredded plasticy cheese on real authentic tacos?
The Mexican place next door is way better lol

Came here with my family for dinner, everyone’s meals were definitely on the better end of the Mexican food than most other places. Service was a tad slow but nothing terrible. Would definitely come back again! Pictured are the Pittsburgh Burrito and the Chorizo Quseadillas.

Cheap and filling food at very reasonable prices! The quality isn’t as high as some other local Mexican restaurants, but it’s a great deal. I ordered the teas leches, churros, bean with cheese burrito, and shredded beef burrito.

The portions are excellent for the burritos! They are much heavier than they look and they are filled to the brim. The meat in the shredded beef burrito was pretty flavorful and didn’t have too much fat. It came with a good amount of different vegetables inside as well. There were onions, tomatoes, peppers, and more for no extra charge. There is also a lot rice in the burrito and surprisingly, there is also cheese in the burrito. The rice was creamy and delicious! The tortilla is on the thicker side, though.

The bean and cheese burrito was pretty good, too. The beans tasted earthy, but creamy as well. Plenty of cheese inside. My order came with a feta-like white cheese called cojita in a small container (it was for the meat burrito, but I used it for both). Large portion of spicy tomatoey sauce.

Both desserts were fine. I wasn’t blown away, but they were both cheap and tasty. Tres leches came with a strawberry and it was cream. There was also whipped cream on top. Churros are large. There’s not a lot of sauce on them, though, but the texture is on point.

Overall, I was more than satisfied with this visit. Awesome portions and prices! Flavor is there, too. I’d recommend if you want a cheap and filling Tex-Mex dinner.

One of my favorite spots in Bloomfield. All the food here is great and they have some of the best fries. Very unique but delicious queso as well. Absolutely recommend for Mexican food. Super friendly staff too!

I read this place was like getting California style burritos. It’s alright but it’s a 20 dollar burrito that’s mostly beans and rice. Tasted good but it’s a 20 dollar burrito.
