Tucked away in central Peoria, this cantina is a lively spot for Mexican cuisine and margaritas. Great service and excellent food!

This was our first time going to Los Cabos Cantina, Jesse seated us and was our waiter too. After seating us he was gone for a brief moment came back and took our drink order, they brought us some chips and salsa right after. When he was taking our order it was almost as if we’ve known each other for years. He was very friendly and comfortable. The salsa was really great, when you let it sit in your tongue for a second it warms up, had great flavor! We decided to get a small bowl of queso and that was great too.
We only had to wait maybe about 10 minutes before our meal arrived at the table. Presentation was really nice especially the tacos. I had ordered a tamale and asked for the toppings on the side. When he came back to the table and noticed that the toppings were not on the side he immediately tried to fix it. And I’m not pointing that out to say that they made a mistake but to say that he tried to fix it in many ways. He offered to go back and get a new one, take it off the bill, and even after I tasted it, if I didn’t like it he would bring another one out. I decided to just keep it as it was and it actually tasted really great, it was really nice to taste somebody’s tamales that had lots of flavor! You can tell that they put their heart into making these tamales! I too make tamales so I definitely appreciate the art & that and the fact that they took the time to make it very flavorful!
While we were eating I looked around the restaurant and really appreciated the decor that they had it actually felt like you were in Mexico enjoying a nice dinner! The decorations, the bull head, the seating, everything was all very comfortable, it felt very authentic and I loved it!
Overall the food tasted great especially the Birria tacos. I also love the fact that they’re redoing the entire parking lot so it’s going to be real nice to be driving through there in the future. Just parking lot was known for being really bumpy and lots of potholes and stuff so that was definitely appealing to see a new parking lot! We really enjoyed our first experience here and we’ll definitely be coming back in the future! ¡El servicio fue excelente y la comida fantástica! ¡Muchas gracias!

Stopped in for my first visit here for lunch and had chicken with molly sauce and it was wonderful. Not the best I’ve ever had but definitely quality, filling and delicious. I will definitely go back to try more. They had many seafood options that sound delicious and I can’t wait to try.

Great Meal! Service staff was very friendly and food came out fast. I went on a Monday and they had 1/2 price Margaritas. I ordered the Burrito Salvatore it has steak, chicken and Chorizo. Great flavor and a nice portion for 12.99. They had a few unique items on their menu that you will not see at the run of the mill Mexican restaurant, but this place is exactly as you would expect it to be. Solid food, good service, meals come out fast.

My friends and I love to meet at Los Cabos! They have the best & friendliest staff! They are always smiling & make us laugh! They have the most delicious food & margaritas! This is our place of choice for the atmosphere, food & drinks! We have been here ALOT and have never had a bad experience! Thank you for being the best Mexican place around!

Clean, well managed store with lots of very close free handicap accessible parking and entrance. We were greeted and seated promptly. Chips and salsa hit the table almost immediately. Drink orders in menu in hand. My apologies for forgetting to take a photo of my cantina burrito and her fish tacos. Both were served quickly, plentiful, correctly and hot. Our server was attentive and had a crazy Mexican charm about him that was very endearing. Salsa was served in a small caraf along with a dish, very handy for pouring it on your burrito or taco. The woman said the fish tacos were the best she’d ever had. High praise from someone who isn’t easily impressed. We had a great time and hope to be back very soon. Cheers!

This restaurant doesn’t just set the bar for Mexican restaurants, but restaurants in general. I eat here several times a week for the always consistent delicious food, service, and drinks. The cost is comparable to ordering a value meal from a fast food restaurant but rather than sitting in the drive thru waiting for your order you can wait inside keeping warm or cool sipping on a margarita. And the food would be to your table before the fast food restaurant would have your food to the car. If I could give more than 5 stars I would.

Quickly seated, beautiful interior, friendly and efficient staff. Lots of affordability and variety in the menu options. Food was out quickly and was delicious. Staff was always circulating to refill drinks and check in but were not overbearring. If I lived in Peoria, I would come often ❤️

Caesar was our waiter and was excellent. He was upbeat and seemed sincere.
I had a burrito and it was great as well. Spicy and not drenched in queso like other places.
My wife had fish tacos and liked them.
I had lime margarita and it was absolutely perfect.

The staff were extremely efficient. We went on a Saturday night when they were packed, but every staff member knew exactly what to do, were friendly, and met our needs perfectly. The best Mexican food I’ve ever eaten. I highly recommend this restaurant!
