Los Burritos Juárez serves authentic Ciudad Juárez–style burritos in Brooklyn. We make fresh flour tortillas daily and fill them with traditional Northern Mexican guisos. These burritos are a staple of the Juárez–El Paso border and rare to find outside the region.

My GF and I went very hungry and decided to slightly ball out and get one of each burrito, and I would definitely recommend the same if you’re in the same scenario as me.
I asked the guy at the register which is the most popular, to which he said the Colorado. The Colorado was definitely my favorite from the bunch, slow cooked pork in a perfect chile sauce. The Verde and Mole were also very good too, I think I preferred the Mole? The Bean + Cheese is a classic, in my opinion. Gooey filler, salty, savory. With salsa, it can equate to something so simple yet so delicious.
A little pricy given the size of what you’re getting, however, you’re getting Northern Mexican heaven wrapped in tin foil.
I’ll be back soon!
A fellow LA to NY transplant informed me about Los Burritos Juarez that just opened in Brooklyn 2 days earlier, and she said the burritos held up with our nose-in-the-air LA Mexican food standards.
I was shocked when I pulled up and this place was POPPIN. Standing room only. I felt the aura. I guess Chef Alan Delgado is the mastermind behind this place, who was previously the Director of R&D at the Michelin starred Oxomoco. He has the juice.
I took a look at the menu as I waited in line, and saw a burrito was only $11. My goodness. A good burrito at a reasonable price in New York City!?! GOD STEPPED IN.
However, when I got to the front of the line the gentleman taking my order informed me it would be about an hour wait. An hour!?!? Oof… but I came all the way out here so I ordered a Verde beef burrito ($11), chips and guac ($8), and a Mexican coke for the plot.
When I ordered, the guy sheepishly said “If you’re really hungry, you should order 2 burritos.” I imagine he saw the desperate look of confusion on my face as he followed up with “they’re pretty small…”
Damn. I knew it was too good to be true. He wasn’t lying either.
I ended up adding a chicken mole burrito to my order, and sat there for 54 minutes watching them make these “burritos.” They give you a tiny spoonful of beans as the base layer on a fresh handmade flour tortilla, and one scoop of meat before they wrap it up. It’s really a mini burrito.
I was disappointed, but at $11 what could I expect? 2 of them was still more food than the typical burrito and at $22, it’s about right in line with market price for a NYC burrito. I also can eat like a small horse, so I will acknowledge that the general population may prefer these smaller portions.
Portion sizes aside, this quality was FANTASTIC. Phenomenal. Sensational. The tortilla is a true Mexican flour tortilla with a thick, pillowy texture. You can see them handmaking each one right there in front of you. Guac was clearly made fresh in house too.
I preferred the chicken mole to the grass fed beef verde, but both had me giving an audible “damn…” Just a blast of flavor on every bite, and the fresh salsa they provide takes it up a notch.
All in all, a damn good “burrito” and making me slowly respect the NYC Mexican food scene more and more. If this was closer to me, I’d be living in here.

The tortillas are made to order and very fluffy, almost like naan. Always great to see handmade flour tortillas, although I prefer the version at Yellow Rose.
At $11 each, value is pretty debatable.
Pro move: bean and (extra) cheese quesadilla.
After trying all of them, the Colorado was our easy favorite and the Frijoles Con Queso was a runner up. All were great but those were a tier above the rest! 1.5 burritos was the perfect serving size so get 3 between 2 ppl.
Pro tip on timing – they open at 12pm and I was one of the first in line on a Friday at 11:30am-ish. Once they opened, I was in and out of there in 3 minutes, so that’s probably the best move.
The line exploded starting 11:45am and there were at least 30-40 ppl behind up until open that wrapped around the corner. Expect it to be crazier on a weekend, so early is the play to just get in and out when it opens.
We’ll be back on a weekday Great burritos!
Yes the flour tortillas are very homemade and fresh, but the fillings are so bland I don’t understand the hype. I ordered for delivery and it did travel well, I got the bean and cheese and the colorado which is braised pork. Both had no flavor, not enough salt, and was a texture nightmare. I know braised pork is no diet food but it was literally half if not more chunks of veiny fat. I gagged. I got a side of guac which was good, there was no salsa available to order on DoorDash so I assumed it would come with some but it didn’t. Maybe if you go in person there’s a salsa bar, but it would be nice to include some if it’s not available for purchase. If you’re in the area fine, but definitely not worth a trip or ordering for delivery.
Get 4, eat 2, walk off the belly, eat one more when you get home, and save the other for a midnight snack. You won’t regret any of it!
