We had the Los Atlantes tacos with beef. They hit, fresh, and delicious. We also took home some Danish and a sugar donut. The dough was very sweet and soft. We will eat there again.

Ever since I moved to Madison from Chicago, I’ve been looking for a good, authentic, and delicious Mexican restaurant that reminds me of home, and this place is the best place I have found on the West side of Madison! The staff are very polite. I have so far tried their tortas, pozole, and consume, and I have yet to be disappointed. All the negative comments saying the flavors and taste of the food are not “authentic” have obviously not had exposure to different types of Mexican seasoning and cooking beyond just the standard Tex Mex flavors offered in the area. The best part about this place is that they offer dishes beyond just your typical street food (tacos, tortas, quesadilla, etc.), and they actually have amazing entrees that are rarely found in Madison (mole, pozole, chilaquiles, etc.). Would definitely recommend coming here!

My spouse and I visited on a Friday, 2nd visit. Staff was friendly and helpful. Restaurant was clean. Both times, our meals were lukewarm on arrival and bland. There is another Mexican restaurant in town that we’ve also visited two times and that restaurant’s meals were fresh, flavorful, and way more than we could eat. We really wanted to have two amazing options in Verona; however, Los Atlantes is not one of those options at this time.
