We were starving, I decided to give this restaurant benefit of the doubt, but things didn’t improve. The manager wiped the table with a watery rag right in front of us before seating us. Once we sat down, we noticed the floor was sticky and there was food under our table. My fiancé asked if we could sit elsewhere she just smiled and laid the utensils on the table. Walked away – um okay.
He ordered our drinks, he received his but I never received mine. After 10 mins waiting on my drink. My fiancé walked to the front to reorder my drink.
⚠️The food wasn’t impressive, no taste. The rice had black beans mixed in, and I had to keep picking them out. Definitely, not freshly cooked Rice. No FLAVOR didn’t taste like authentic Spanish rice. The sauce served with the chips smelled bad, and the runny cheese had odd bits in it Variety/Choices for vegetarians & kids is limited at the Lunch Time Buffet.
Gross my fiancé stated the meat tasted FAKE disgusting and very oily. He said it smelled like our dog food
check your plates at the buffet, Some of the plates we picked up were dirty. “Oh my”
Throughout the meal, the waitress did not check on us. NO Refills. ♀️
*Not a pleasant experience, Definitely, not worth the money and Tip. Not a “wow” place to eat and will not be back.
Food was tasty enough. Husband got the steak enchiladas. I got the pina fajita. We got the papas locas (smothered fries basically) as an appetizer. The sauce the fries were in didn’t have too much flavor, the pico and jalapeños had the most flavor.
Husband stated he enjoyed his food. I enjoyed mine, it came inside half a pineapple which I enjoyed. The chips and salsa that was provided for the table – chips were simple, salsa was good with a bit of a kick to it.
I was there to turn the key at 11 and was welcomed by a wonderful server and staff.
First stop, bathroom to peeps and wash my hands before lunch. Nice clean bathroom.
Checking out the buffet, there is a nice selection of Mexican food along with some “non Mexican.”
Large salad bar along with taco/taco bowl bar. Enchiladas, cheese quesadillas, chicken or beef with vegetables, skillet selection, and a chicken, vegetable, and queso mix. Rice, beans, guacamole, pico and much more.
Chicken wings, fried shrimp, and a spaghetti dish among the less traditional fare in a Mexican restaurant.
As you can see from my photos, I had a little of almost everything.
EVERYTHING tasted fresh, and nothing tasted canned or overly processed.
The fact that they had guacamole and pico says a lot. Neither of those are quick to make, and guacamole isn’t cheap.
Beans and rice were nice, a very good standard rice and beans. Moist and good flavor. There was nothing that was bad.
Chicken wings were moist, and pasta was actually pretty darn yummy.
Enchiladas had a nice flavor. Not over powering nor underwhelming.
I tried the green salsa which had a slight heat to it.
Table chips and salsa were perfect as well. Great crisp in the chips and flavor with the salsa. They were useful for my pico and gauc which I took a hit of overtime I got a new plate.
10/10 all around.
️ IT. WAS. GROSS!!!
It was Saturday at lunchtime. The buffet looked awful. Basically the school cafeteria equivalent of a buffet. I immediately knew this place was dicey but that I was at least ordering freshly cooked food from the menu.
I won’t get into all the details, but suffice to say they are simply using the absolute cheapest ingredients they can buy. You could just tell from the taste. Even the look. The ground beef looked and tasted like the beef in Chef Boyardi Ravioli. I’d bet there are some well-fed dogs that would turn their noses up to the lunch that everyone at our table barely touched.
I will definitely never be returning.
