Food was pretty good! On street parking. There was only one other table on a Saturday night, not sure why it was so dead. Great service, very attentive waiter. Really clean bathrooms.

Absolutely unacceptable and humiliating experience.
My wife accidentally spilled her drink, and instead of offering basic courtesy or help, the waitress threw a cleaning rag onto the table, as if we were expected to clean it ourselves. No apology, no professionalism — just open disrespect.
Her behavior throughout the interaction was arrogant, dismissive, and rude. She spoke to guests with clear irritation and showed repeated disrespect toward my wife and our friends. This was not a misunderstanding — it was a pattern of poor attitude and lack of basic service standards.
We refused to tolerate this treatment. After paying for the drinks, we immediately canceled our food order and left the restaurant, choosing to take our business elsewhere. No one should feel disrespected or looked down on while paying for service.
If management does not seriously address staff behavior and customer service training, I strongly do not recommend this restaurant. We will not be returning.

Food was great. I had a ground beef taco salad. My drink, a 7up, tasted like cleaner but its better than mold. I sent it back and asked for a coors and they brought me a coors lite but they gladly fixed it. Over all I can say I would go again. I’ll just stick to drinks served in the manufactued vessel.

Today – Scrumptious Shredded Beef Enchilada Combo Plate for lunch! Meat had been marinated; tender & tasteful to perfection. Loved the quality and flavorful salsa. The portions were generous and served hot. Staff was entirely attentive and most cheerful. We will certainly be back – and soon! : )

Cash only with an atm inside was a surprise, but understandable. They are an authentic Mexican food restaurant and most of our food tasted delicious. My husband kept asking me if I thought they would use ketchup to season their fajita’s which made me suspicious of how he felt about his food. It does state all over the menu that if you take a bite off of someone else’s plate, they’ll charge you $2. Which made us feel awkward as a family because we love to try each other’s food at new restaurants we are testing for the first time, as in this case.
Our service was very non chalant which I feel obligated to point out. They walked by a few times before talking or acknowledging us after they seated us and took a while to bring chips and salsa. It only had 1 other table occupied as we arrived.. Not a bad experience, but improving their customer promptness would improve satisfaction which would be a recommendation.
As always with a Mexican restaurant, I recommend serving beans with your salsa. It helps the kids mild down the spicy salsa and it’s wildly encouraged from an avid traveler and eat out guru. I am a self proclaimed chef and homemade food that tastes amazing is my niche, so I’m a tough critic on food that I know how to make. Don’t get me wrong, the food is tasty here as I enjoyed my #3 with 2 cheese enchiladas with a chicken taco, that is how they earned those 3 stars. They lost the 4th and 5th star for price gauging, my husband’s responses, and poor communication. They also gave me the wrong drink, but I understand how it was messed up. I felt everything was as expensive as an organic restaurant in a big city. No joke. Sweet people though. Choices are minimal in Colfax, so they’ve got the market cornered. I wish their business well. I also hope they find local options as a way to reduce prices for themselves which would be greatly appreciated by their customers. Hence increasing customer loyalty and potentially increasing frequency of visits based off of feeling like it’s affordable.

Great food and fantastic service! I highly recommend you check these guys out and support the town of Colfax! Only thing to be aware of is they are currently waiting on their liquor license so don’t plan on a margarita (as of 11/1/22). They should have that sorted out in a month or two by the sounds of it.

My third visit to this establishment. This time was Amazing. The service was very attentive and personalized. The food was tasty and well presented. My first visit was not impressive, food was very greasy, second and third were very well done. I would highly recommend Carne Asada (burritos, taco or plate). I would stay far away from any hamburger-based meals as they tend to be very greasy. The photo is of a Kearny Asada burrito. It was excellent.
