The service is great and the food is awesome and hot. Plus they check your food in front of you. My favorite is the Mexican tacos, the sweet fried plantains, and the patacones. My wife and I were in the area during my multi-week bicycle trip and were ready for a late lunch. The place didn’t look like anything special from the outside but the service was amazing from the minute we walked through the door. Our server offered samples of their juices and made menu recommendations. The food was fabulous and was way more than I could eat – even after after a 50-mile bicycle ride. Reasonable prices as well. Highly recommended!

It’s been a great place for me to visit and take family in Baton Rouge but don’t go for the service or availability of food.
I was looking for beef soup, and we requested several items and unfortunately they didn’t have them. It was a bit frustrating to visit and that’s just the standard level of service.
Once the food comes out , it’s delicious and fresh but good luck finding what you want off the menu. It’s a small place and it’s always busy.

May get busy some nights and have a good wait, but the food is worth it. Large portions and authentic, definitely not off a Sysco truck.
The beans were some of the best I’ve ever had, and the Honduran Tacos (basically taquitos), were loved by everyone in my group. No one had any compaints, and this is a hidden gem.

First time going there and it’s right around the corner which is awesome but dangerous. Ordered 4 steak tacos and beans and rice. Everything was awesome although since the tacos are heavy I would recommend using two tortillas instead of one. Just makes it easier to eat. Edit… i eat here at least once a week and the tacos are amazing, and service is great, but i would highly recommend preparing your translator in case you dont speak spanish. this is not a bash at all, im just saying to be prepared. they are all lovely ppl
