THANK YOU SO MUCH!! We had a large work party of about 20 celebrating multiple birthdays! The staff at Los Alamos were amazing. We call ahead the day before to see if they could accommodate us and they said yes! Had us sat, loaded with drinks, chips and salsa, and let us order as one big group. Food came out fast and we all had our meals at the same time!! Especially loved the “Happy Birthday” played over the speakers at 100% volume LOL!! Great place to eat and even better staff!!

Oh man the Chilaquiles sauce is amazing. I order huevos rancheros but If you go there for breakfast, you just gotta have Chilaquiles. Thanks for the service Benny!

A hidden gem. That may not be completely fair, for if you have been around 25 years, you can’t be completely hidden. Located in the Westside neighborhood, this family owned Mexican restaurant that has an unique spin on your favorite Mexican dishes. The service was great and the food was excellent. I had their cheese enchiladas and they were unlike any I have ever had in a good way. I would strongly recommend this restaurant.

This place is amazing! Some of the most authentic Mexican food I have found in the metro. The owner is very hospitable and it feels like you’re sitting around a family’s dinner table by the way you’re treated.
The food is wonderful and for the price you get so much food!
Highly recommend.

This restaurant has very odd hours, and may show as being open on Google Maps or their website, but will in fact be closed; likewise, if it shows as closed, it may very well be open. This is the only reason why I have given only four stars for Service, because otherwise, the service was excellent and friendly. The owner patiently explained how their service works. It looks like a buffet (in the evening, anyway), but you just tell him/them what you want, and they’ll bring it to your table. We were a bit confused and ordered way more food than we normally would at a restaurant. The food that we ordered was very good (not great), and is different enough from typical Mexican restaurants in the KC area to set it apart. The dining area is bright, cheery and clean. The dodgy hours will probably convince to not come back, though.

Best salsa picante in KC. Ordered Chile relleno (without the red sauce). It was very well cooked and delicious. It was not too alty or greasy. I loved the cheese they used for it. It wasn’t stringy, it was savory and yummy. The corn tortillas came nicely rolled up and warm. Good rice and beans. For next time, I know to walk up straight to the back to order. Also, Horchata was spiced and tasty.

I stopped in here to grab a bite to eat after doing some Christmas shopping next door. There was no clear signage of where to order, or whether to find a table or wait to be seated, luckily since there weren’t many customers the employee working up front spotted me quickly and took my order. He was very friendly and explained to me the menu items they offered, but I did not see any menus anywhere. so I chose chicken tamales. I sat down and he quickly brought the soda I ordered and was attentive throughout. The food was brought out within a few minutes and I was a bit let down to be honest. While everything tasted pretty good, most of the chicken was piled on top and there was hardly any meat actually inside the tamales. And then my bill, for just my meal and soda, was $26 before tip. I was floored as I had not been expecting to spend that much at a relatively casual restaurant. I did not complain because it’s on me for not asking the price when I was ordering, but while the service I received was excellent, the food was just OK and I definitely would not pay that much for it again.

Atmosphere was good. In a good location and good seating space. Food on the other hand was awful. We ordered green chilaquiles and got red instead. Chilaquiles were just tortilla chips with watery tomato sauce on top which made the chilaquiles hard to eat. No flavor, no seasoning at all. We also ordered a chorizo and egg burrito which came in a small flour tortilla overstuffed with more egg than chorizo. Service was ok.

This place is the real deal! If you’re looking for authentic Mexican food, this is the place! Visited on a Sunday morning. Parking can be a little hard to find, but don’t let that discourage you. Some of the food is pre-made and ready to serve. There are items made to order like our burrito. You order at the counter and seated. The burrito we had was possibly the best burrito I’ve eaten, and I’ve been to a lot of places! It definitely can be shared by two people and maybe even three. If I lived in the area, this would definitely be a regular stop. Enjoy!

I will start this review with my shame. Went there for the first time a few days ago and it was fabulous! I’m ashamed that I haven’t been here sooner. I take pride in finding great places to eat, food, and atmosphere. This place checks all of the above. The owner makes you feel like a best friend, the service is exceptional, and the food is fabulous! Its only been a couple of days and I’m already plotting my next visit with more co-workers. Run, don’t walk here.
