When a restaurant is crowded on a Monday evening, that’s a really good sign. Service was speedy and attentive. The chips and salsa were very flavorful, and the hot salsa was intense. Tacos Jalisco, Enchiladas Yolandas, and Chiles Rellenos were spectacular! Prices were a bit higher than some competitors, but reasonable for the quality. We will definitely return for lunch or dinner.

FOOD SAFETY ALERT!!! We ordered food through DoorDash and our food was raw— uncooked completely. Specially the soups. The guacamole was BLACK and gross. I called the restaurant to let them know as a courtesy (since we can get a refund through DoorDash) and they didn’t even care. They were angry that we called to make them aware of their food quality instead of being grateful for the feedback. Terrible service and awful food. I don’t see this restaurant thriving in this competitive market, unless they make some serious internal changes.

This place is kind of like a diamond in the rough. Driving by you would never suspect but once you’re inside and get some food you’re going to love this place. We came here based on a recommendation and I’m really glad we listened. Service was friendly chips and salsa were great some of the better salsa we’ve had a Mexican restaurant. The food was fresh and hot and tasted great but the fried banana was the bomb. I think this is the first time I’ve ever gotten dessert at a Mexican restaurant and I think I’d be tempted just to come for that.

Cheese dip, salsa and chips all very good. Margaritas were quite tasty. All the food was good. Price a little high but in par with other Mexican restaurants in the area.

This place is clean, the atmosphere is comforting, and the staff is amazing! They have a vegetarian section on the menu, and the combinations are great. Their beans and rice taste like my grandma’s, which is hard to find near me. I live in Michigan and drive to Toledo to visit. The margaritas are divine, with fruit on the side of the cup, which is a very nice touch and a fun surprise. When we have a bad day out a great day, I know what will be in my mind- getting out to our new regular Mexican restaurant! The red sauce is so good, I imagine everything else I want it on in my life. Eggs? Toasted sandwiches? What a dream, love this place and the people here.

This place looks very new. Really neat decor with beautiful custom embroidered wood chairs and carved booths.

The food was absolutely amazing. It was truly authentic Mexican food, fresh made and really quick. Their chips and salsa were very good. I had the Burrito San Jose which was massive for the price, and my wife had the Carne Asada tacos which were sooooo good.

The service was excellent as well, very kind and courteous staff. Extremely attentive as well.

We will definitely come back here again the next time we’re in the area and will tell everyone we know about this place!

I’ve had their food truck before and couldn’t remember if I liked it or not. Decided to try their restaurant. The ground beef taco was disgusting, I do not recommend, it was like boiled meat in a meat sauce with tomatoes. The rice was delicious definitely try those with every order. The grilled chicken taco wasn’t that good due to the shell being over cooked but the chicken alone was good. I may come back I may not. Service was slow even without it being busy.

We moved to the eri area coming form a heavy Mexican influence south west Detroit food culture. So we searched for a good authentic taqueria style restaurant. We went too Cinco de Mayo 1st and let’s say never went back ( strong margaritas tho) we passed los agave and said there next. We went like 3 days after and don’t believe we have tried many others in the area after. Great food and customer service! We go her at least once a week. I recently did a catering for 25 people and everyone loved the food. This will continue to be our spot as long as we live in the area. Check it out, hidden jem for sure thanks fellas & ladies. “See you tomorrow” -Guillermo

Los Agaves is my new favorite place to eat. I live within walking distance and I go as often as I am able. I order something different every time I go and each time the food is better than the last time. The service is fantastic and it’s amazing how fast your food is brought to your table piping hot. I recommend trying it out, you won’t be disappointed.
The restaurant is always clean. The people who own Los Agave really know what customer Service is all about. Keep up the great work you and the staff are providing.

I’ve been a fan of Los Agaves food truck for sometimes Especially the Barria pizza and carnitas tacos. Excited to try thier new actual restaurant. The menu is large with something for everyone, even a picky eater will find something. I chose two items. The ceviche tostada, which was a perfect starter for me although it’s listed as an entree. Very flavorful, with a hint of heat along with the citrus. Would order this again . I would suggest a larger offering in a bowl it would go great with the complimentary chips they bring to the table. My main dish was the ribs eye burrito. This came smothered in creamy queso, with guacamole, pico, and pickled onions on the side. The plentiful steak in the burrito was tender, juicy, with just the right char. The guacamole added to the awesome flavor. It wad big enough to fill me up halfway through but I persevered and finished it. My daughter enjoyed her dish as well but I can’t recall what chicken selection it was. I’ll be back again for sure to try more. It’s close to home and reasonably priced. Service was excellent. This place is going to gave to expand once Toledo gets wind of how great the food is.
