Los Abuelos is a great local spot for breakfast or lunch, especially if City Limits or Burrito Lady in Eden are packed or closed — this is the next closest and most convenient option.
The staff are super friendly and welcoming, which really makes the visit enjoyable. Service was warm and attentive, and you can tell they care about their customers.
The only downside for me was the salsa. It was pretty bland and watery, which unfortunately took away from the dish. The potatoes themselves were cooked perfectly — crispy and tender — but once the watery salsa was added, they became soggy and lost that great texture.
Overall, it’s a solid local place with really nice people and good food, just with a little room for improvement on the salsa. I’d still go back, especially for a relaxed breakfast or lunch.

Great spot to enjoy some good food, quick and friendly service, and an inviting atmosphere. Located right off the main road, this place is your traditional mom and pop stop. We’ve eaten here several times enjoying breakfast tacos, enchiladas, fajitas, and taco salad. The food always tastes fresh and comes out piping hot. The service is some of the friendliest folks you’ll find. Worth a stop and regular visit.

We were pleasantly surprised with Los Abuelo’s. The place was just a big open dining area with arranged seating of tables and chairs. The service was pretty good too and our waiter with bushy mustache was great. We walked away thinking the food was delicious and exceeded expectations. I ordered the Carne Guisada plate which was spicy with great flavor. We also ordered the Mia’s special and it was great too. They offered kids meals which the kids really enjoyed. The salsa was great as well and had the right amount of spice. Overall, we felt the dishes were spicy, but not overpowering. Again a huge thumbs up for this TexMex restaurant.

We had the beef enchiladas and chicken enchiladas. Both were really good. Salsa had a great flavor and a nice kick of heat. Service was friendly and relaxed. Nice place and good food in a small little town.

I have been to this restaurant many times and every time I go I get the same server. Her name is Gabby. She is very rude. She doesn’t come back and wait on the tables after you get your food. Doesn’t even ever ask if you need your drink refilled. Today I was leaving and I asked for a large to go cup and received the medium size or small as they call it. This was my last time to visit this restaurant if you want rude Service go ask for Gabby

The food was very good. I had Rogelio’s plate. The taco was so good! The rice was not good. My husband had the steak fingers, gravy, and French fries. That was all good. The salsa and chips were good as well. The iced tea was pretty good. I took a to-go cup so that’s saying something if you follow. We always stop here when passing through and will continue to do so as long as it continues to be good.

Don’t know why we waited so long to try this place. Everything was delicious. The chips and salsa are made fresh, and you’ll want to take some home. Sooo good!
