We just needed a little something driving from the Airport to Santa Fe. So we stopped here and were very happy. It is a small place with a big menu. We ordered tacos. The food was very fresh and well seasoned. The corn tortillas were as good as they get. They had a salsa bar but we found most of the salsas to hot.

5 June 2024 – We stopped here for our usual takeaway dinner Monday evening, so my son could try it for the first time. He enjoyed his #6 combo, but all of our food with asada, as well as my bean, rice, and cheese burrito, were not great. We noticed that the wonderful woman whom takes always our order, wasn’t the one doing the cooking like she always does… so whomever did cook our food, needs to be shown how to do it right. This is the second time our asada was not good, and I was hoping it wouldn’t happen again so I wouldn’t have to mention it. :/

It’s also been very hot in the restaurant this visit and a few prior visits, since it’s now hotter outside… not sure if the AC is off or there is none, but dining in definitely isn’t an option even if we decide not to take it to go.

5 Apr 2024 – I’m not even the slightest ashamed to say I stopped here for dinner two nights in a row. The first time was for my biggest addiction (Asada Fries!) and a Wet Burrito with chicken; then last night, I tried a taco salad for the first time, adding asada. I hadn’t had a taco salad that good in my entire life and now I have a new favorite main dish at this amazing restaurant! The woman whom takes our orders is always so wonderful. Don’t forget to grab some of their delicious salsa from the little salsa bar – the darker green one is my favorite!

29 Dec 2023 – We’ve stopped here for dinner twice more since my last review, the most recent being last night. They were out of chile rellenos 🙁 so I couldn’t get my usual burrito, but I tried the wet burrito with green sauce and added chicken. It was amazing, especially with the delicious chicken. They also gave us a fancy pen, which was a very appreciated surprise.

We can’t get enough of Los 6 Hermanos, it never disappoints and always satisfies our craving for tasty Mexican food!

10 Dec 2023 – we stopped here for breakfast just before 1000 yesterday. Service was great again, and the food was delicious! We ordered two country burritos with sausage, plus a wide of fries. We were SO FULL and satisfied! Can’t wait to come back for more dinner.

See new pics!

30 Nov 2023 – My significant other and I stopped here for takeaway last night at about 1700. We’d known about this restaurant for awhile, but finally decided to try it for the first time.

The service was great and the restaurant is lovely. The menus are easy to read and filled with so many appealing items! Our order was ready in only about ten minutes.

It was so hard to choose what I wanted at first, but then I saw something I’ve enjoyed elsewhere in the state, and just had to try the Los 6 Hermanos’ version. I chose the Chile Relleno Burrito; it was TONS BETTER than the one I’m used to – not just because it has more delicious ingredients, but because it was all perfectly made. My significant other chose the Asada Burrito and liked it enough; he just isn’t a fan of refried beans or else it would have been his new favorite over the one he loves from a taco truck we frequent. He also got a medium order of Asada Fries, which we shared and enjoyed so much – they were AWESOME. The little bag of tortilla chips included were also yummy! The size of the burritos is just right, and so are the prices.

I already know what I want to try when we go back, which we plan to do on the future. We highly recommend Los 6 Hermanos if you haven’t gone already! Don’t wait to try it like we did, or you’ll be missing out like we did, too. Wish we’d had tried it sooner, but so glad we finally have!

This place isn’t the best looking place around, and it’s kind’ve hidden. However, it has some pretty tasty food. The server we had was kind’ve forgetful or overly stressed with the three tables in the place. However, he was super kind and apologetic for no reason.

Not being here, the salsa’s are in a world of pain. I mean all them are spicey and straight up fire for us. We must be pretty weak when it comes to spice.

We had the chicken burrito, which it was fairly tasty. The rice and beans were solid, and the burrito was great. The food quality doesn’t do the aesthetics justice indeed. The food came out fairly quick, and there are minimal distractions inside.

Cost wise is pretty inexpensive, and the place is clean inside.

Greeted as I walked in. Asked about the items and they referred me to the pictures on the menu wall which is quite extensive. It is a restaurant, ice cream shop/snack shop. Plenty of different menu and snack items to choose from. Reminiscent of ice cream shops in Mexico. It is an old building (looks like it was once a home to be honest). The establishment was very clean. I ordered a carne asada burrito and a bottled coke (Mexican). Prices are high average ($14 for those 2 items). They did serve me some chips while I waited. The red salsa was splendid and spicy. The green salsa was good as well. The roasted salsa was a little overpowering due to the amount of garlic still it was okay. The burrito was very well made. The tortilla was not chewy, the carne asada was cooked and seasoned well. Onion and cilantro did well. I’m not a huge fan of rice and beans in an asada burrito but it was okay. The beans and rice both were cooked well. In a carne asada burrito, I’m used to it being carne asada, guacamole and pico de gallo. This burrito felt like it was a third of beans, rice and asada, so it left me a bit in want. But overall the flavors were very good and not greasy. Paired with a bottled Mexican coke elevated the meal. A Solid 3.5 ⭐ rating. I look forward to trying other items.

This place was fantastic. It’s exactly the kind of spot that we’re spoiled with down here. Huge menu, sweet ladies taking your order, humble decor, and pretty much everything in Spanish.

We went on a Saturday morning when all the bigger breakfast places were packed. 6 Hermanos has only a few people in it and no wait. We were greeted kindly and left to check out the menu. You order counter style, then sit and they bring the food to you. We kept it simple and all got breakfast burritos and tacos, but the lunch plates looked awesome.

While waiting for our food they brought us tortilla chips and we availed ourselves of the salsa bar. Beware, some are hotter than others! The food was awesome when it arrived. The tortillas were soft and moist and held together great. The eggs were generous and not overcooked at all. I got chorizo in mine and the hits of salty meat were perfect.

Keep in mind the breakfast tacos and burritos are pretty basic. Mostly eggs and meat. I think there were a few that had more fixings inside, but what we got really was about the eggs and tortillas which were very good.

I will absolutely be back to try more of the menu. Don’t be intimidated by the humble setting or Spanish language. Everything is in English too and the ladies can understand you just fine!

We love this place. We live nearby and specifically prefer to come here for the quality of their food. Typically there is a “local” or two going/coming or dining in (because they know the place is good). Maria the owner makes most items from scratch. The Mexican desserts (peleta bars and/or ice creams) are excellent as well. There are many favorites, however the torta sandwich is fantastic. The Mrs likes the soups. Kids meals come with fruit and a pouch juice drink. If traveling through on I-25 and looking for quality food, I would definitely suggest 6 Hermanos vs The Range. Easy hop on/hop off of I-25.

One of our favorite places for authentic Mexican food. The meat is flavorful and no chewy nerves or fat. My fave is carne asada and carnitas. We’ve loved everything we’ve tried. And the owner, Maria is so friendly and helpful.

They took a while serving everyone at my table, but the food was definitely worth the wait ! I ordered the breakfast torta with sausage and it was delicious. Very authentic food, and I can say that with full confidence as someone from the Texas border. Highly recommend !
