Nice clean place in a tiny SE Nebraska town. There was plenty of seating. They maintain a nice salad bar even though most restaurants have gotten rid of them. They have fish every Friday, not only during lent. On the night we visited, they offered ample servings of cod, carp, catfish and walleye. Staff were attentive and friendly. We had a 35-40 min drive and will definitely go back.

Yummy food with great service, a must do when in Southeastern Nebraska. Give the Bull Fries and Gizzards a try, lots of fried food and the Salad bar is actually very good! Go early on Friday’s or be prepared to wait because it’s Fish Friday and Happy Hour, lots of retired folks!

This is a popular place.
However, it was not very busy when we were there.
The food was delicious and the service was good.

Lorton Lounge & Keno boasts friendly faces, mouthwatering meals, and great company for any weary travelers looking for a bite to eat in Southeast Nebraska. Their establishment, a large building constructed only about a decade ago in the center of the smallest town in Otoe County, has been referred to by locals as the ultimate “build it and they will come” sort of restaurant. Residents of the county and others from far beyond visit Lorton on multiple occasions to enjoy one of their many fabulous dining options.

We visited on Sunday, Wing Day, and had our choice of one of 18 different sauces. For 10 wings for 10 bucks each, my dad, brother, and I enjoyed their Pineapple Habanero, Sweet Chili, Dry Lemon Pepper, and Wet Garlic Parmesan options. I personally had the Pineapple Habanero and Sweet Chili options, the first of which was exceptionally sweet and mid-heat, and the second of which was another sweet but not-at-all spicy option for my taste buds. Some other unique sauce options include Dr. Pepper and Lorton Fire.

Aside from wings, there are tons of other specials offered at the Lounge on certain nights. Every Saturday night is steak night, but on the 1st and 3rd Saturdays of the month, diners can enjoy the motherload of all Lorton meals: a Prime Rib Dinner. On Fridays, they host a Fish Fry and offer Walleye, Catfish, Cod, and Carp options. The 1st and 3rd Monday nights of the month is Italian Food Night, and the 2nd and 4th Monday nights of the month are Mexican Food Night. Wednesday Nights are “Cheap Burger Basket Nights.” There are so many specials but you can’t help but mark your calendar and plan a visit!

We had a load of fun in Lorton and happened to be visiting on the same day that they were hosting the 40-year-reunion for the Classes of 1982 and 1983 from what is now Johnson County Central. Over thirty vehicles lined the streets of Lorton with license plates from across the state, and one attendee informed us that every one of their classmates was still alive to this day – a truly incredible feat! It was quite a sight to behold, and we had a lot of fun listening to the banter of old classmates. Despite how busy it was, the staff did a phenomenal job by checking in with us regularly and making us feel right at home during our entire visit.

Friendly place! Jukebox, pool table, board games and a beautiful bar. Stopped in after watching fireworks in Nebraska City. The kitchen had already closed for the night, but they still were happy to warm up some pizzas for us! I’m looking forward to coming back to try their wings and steaks.

We came in late Sunday after a long day driving and we’re totally exhausted. The staff were so very kind and friendly. They even suggested that my two German Shepherds could run around in the fenced area and gave them water. We enjoyed a delicious meal and cold beers with the locals. Cowboy and friends were very welcoming and fun!!! Thank you everyone for a wonderful evening and some great memories. For such a little town, we met some great people!!!! Thank you very much!!! Kim & Jim, Fraoich and Fritz

This hidden little gem is well worth the drive from anywhere! We got wings, a burger, grilled cheese sandwich, garlic parmesan fries, and cottage fries. Every single thing was great! Having seoarate sauces for the wings was perfect. The Lorton Heat is fabulous! (Should be called the Rev. Lorton Heat!) The service was friendly, knowledgeable, and quick. The atmosphere welcoming and laid back. The bar is full service, but no draught beer. Don’t miss this place. The food is AMAZING!
