We had a great time here for dinner and I would describe the overall vibe as laid back and welcoming with both indoor and outdoor seating. For appetizers, the chicken karaage and crunchy corn fritters were both flavorful with just the perfect crunch. The brisket ramen was delicious with a generous serving of ramen, which I appreciated. Special shout out to the staff for the outstanding service and recommendations.

Nice relaxed atmosphere. Food has a smokehouse flavour. Dishes good for sharing. For 2 we shared Brussell sprouts, charred broccoli, rice noodles and corn fritters, all full of flavour. Plenty of seating options, inside, covered outside and open outside. Good service and value for money. Good selection of drinks both alcoholic or non alcoholic.

I’ve been to Loro in the heights twice. Wings are so good. Especially the Thai flavor. I wish there were more utensils at the drink station and better parking stalls. They are so narrow at both parking lots.

I recently visited Loro Houston, and it absolutely lived up to the hype! The space itself is open, modern, and welcoming — a perfect mix of Texas barbecue charm and Asian-inspired flair. I ordered the sampler and the Thai ribs, and both dishes were outstanding. The sampler was a great way to try a bit of everything — every bite was full of flavor, tender, and perfectly seasoned. You can really taste the creativity behind the menu, blending smoky barbecue with Southeast Asian spices.

Loro is a highly popular Asian smokehouse high-vibe, casual fusion spot, a unique mashup of Texas BBQ smoke and Southeast Asian acidity/spice to taste. This restaurant is a highly popular Asian smokehouse in Houston, a casual fusion spot, dog-friendly patio, great for groups, you have to order at the bar/counter, take a number, and food is brought to your table.
The menu is a unique mashup of Texas BBQ smoke and Southeast Asian acidity/spice.Must-Try Dishes: The Loro Cheeseburger and the Oak Smoked Beef Brisket, served with Thai herbs. The Chicken Crispy & Potatoes my favorites dishes for their texture and bold seasoning.
Most plates: rice bowls and sandwiches range in average price. Larger meat plates for brisket or ribs with typically larger meat plates, moderate price.
A typical signature of the Chef to visit.

I’ve been dying to try Lora Asian Smokehouse for months, so walking in, my expectations were high… unfortunately, the experience fell flat.
First issue: the ordering process.
The line was LONG, the cashiers moved so slowly, and they didn’t seem very knowledgeable about the menu. For a place set up as completely self-service—yes, you get your own silverware, water, etc.—you’d think the front end would be more efficient. Nope. ⏳
Food experience:
• Corn Fritters: These were not corn fritters. They were flavorless hush puppies. No sweetness and no seasoning… just a bland ball of fried dough.
• Ribs: The ribs were the only highlight. The smokiness was on point, and the BBQ sauce was fantastic. ✅ But they came out cold, which instantly ruined what could have been an amazing dish.
• Broccoli: This came out last—after I had finished eating. And let me tell you, I’ve had broccoli prepared a thousand ways, but lemon zest on broccoli? Absolutely not. Lemon and broccoli do not go together. Please remove this from the recipe.
Overall, between the slow service, the self-serve setup, and the disappointing food (aside from the flavor of the ribs), I have to give Lora Asian Smokehouse 2 stars. Definitely not worth the hype.

2.5?-3⭐️The cashier was very accommodating regarding my gluten allergy. However, (except obviously the noodle bowls): all of our food was lacking some flavor, delivered cold, and delivered to the tables at different times.
The food gets sent out as it’s made, servers don’t have trays so they walk around confused. Overall, the restaurant has good vibes but needs better systems.

It’s a flavor explosion for your palate. The food is so flavorful and tender. The pork ribs, wings, the crunchy cabbage salad, the charred broccoli are all bursting with flavor and everything priced just right. Definitly be back!

This is Asian/BBQ fusion with a focus on unique takes. Yuzu added to aioli, miso salted caramel cupcakes (which were limited time but they should be a staple), and karaage chicken were huge standouts. Spicy pickles were such a great addition to the platter. The pulled pork was good but almost too shredded. The brisket was tender and moist but the lean was a bit dry. Luckily the sauces were great. Still a 5 star and high recommendation. Only strange part is that you have to order at the bar, there is no waiter/waitress for food orders.

I LOVE this restaurant. They have so many unique and delicious things on their menu, it’s always hard to pick what to order. The building itself is beautiful and it’s got a really cool vibe inside. You sit anywhere and order from their counter whenever you want, then they bring the food to you as soon as each dish is ready. It’s usually pretty quick. The portions are not very large, but you end up wanting to order a variety of things anyways so you can try multiple dishes. Definitely not the cheapest place to eat, but the food is really good so I feel like it’s worth it. Great place to bring friends!
