Usually only do uber eats in New York,but wanted to see the difference in local Italian restaurants in New Jersey, so have stayed i the big NYC So disappointed in the crab cake there is mostly breading in them a pinch of real crab meat. I work in a sesfood restaurant that made real crab cake with lump crab meat. The shrimp scampi was such a small portion for $26 should have went to sammy’s fish box. Never again paid $70 for my whole order, could have spent less in a NYC local pizza parlor ..So very disappointed.

This was our first time trying out this restaurant in Garwood.
Went on a Friday night and it wasn’t too crowded so there was no wait at all. We sat inside but there is also outdoor seating as well.
The Food was very good and the service was good as well.

We also ordered their Buffalo Wings and the stuffed mushrooms appetizers. Both were excellent

The food was absolutely delicious and the service was even better! As soon as we walked in, we were welcomed with a bright smile and seated right away. The server was extremely patient with us as this was our first time. Lorenzo’s had so many dishes to choose from and it was hard to choose but I couldn’t have picked a better dish. I was completely satisfied! Even when I wanted a different meat, they were able to accommodate. 10/10 would recommend and will definitely be back!!!

I was excited to try this place. Unfortunately, besides the ambience outside, there’s nothing to rave about here. My son didn’t even want to finish his chicken fingers, and I had no desire to finish anything I ate; and it was almost $200 down the drain. Nothing I ate justified that price point, and the automatic 20% gratuity. I am not a cheap person; I don’t mind paying for food I enjoy, but this was something else. We won’t be back. The pizza was horrible. I’ve had better pizza from Little Caesars. Nothing here tasted freshly made at all; it all felt like it had been microwaved and was reminiscent of a frozen TV dinner. My shrimp scampi tasted like soup and came loaded with peppers (I had never had scampi like that), and my soup was like a warmed-up can of vegetables (I had ordered chicken noodle, but there were no noodles and only two tiny pieces of chicken); it tasted like Great Value. This is not an authentic Italian restaurant; don’t go there expecting it to be, as I did. I think these people are Mexican or something (which I don’t care), but it’s like me trying to cook fried rice and calling myself a Chinese restaurant; it’s just false advertisement, I’m not Asian. Why try to cook something if you can’t? This is the second place in Garwood I tried, and I was disappointed. Lesson learned: Garwood doesn’t know what real Italian food is. The people here are friendly, but that’s where the niceness ends. The two stars are only because the service was good, but the food was taken home to feed my mom’s dog, and if she didn’t eat it, it went in the trash.

Service was great! Eggplant parm and chicken piccata were both delicious and very good portions. Kids had pizza, its was little too much cheese for them but they still liked it. Overall, very good experience. Highly recommend if you’re in the area

This is the place that would offer you the best service possible in NJ restaurant, we are not from Garwood but highly recommend this restaurant for its such warm and friendly staff and really fresh food. The owner even went above and beyond by bringing the booze of our choice and our waitress was extra sweet and courteous with our order. Would highly recommend their pizza and would visit again. Delicious Tiramisu!

Friends of ours suggested Lorenzo’s for a date night and we are so glad they did. Everything was great, from the service, to the food, and even a friendly conversation with one of the owners! Portions were large and BYOB is perfect. We will definitely bring our family back.

This place is literally around the corner for me, and this next week there’s a town wide promotion called “Taste of Garwood” running, so OF COURSE I had to walk over with the family and have a nice Friday night dinner out. Everything was outstanding, from the service to the food (penne vodka with shrimp was great) to the dessert! We got there a bit early for a Friday night, it was quiet when we walked in, busy when we walked out (and everyone else’s meal looked good too)! 5 stars to this great local Italian spot, make sure to check it out!
