The food was excellent! Looked & tasted very fresh. Very attentive servers that were always close by to get whatever was needed. Sitting outside on the patio was a great choice because the views of the ocean were spectacular! Highly recommend and will definitely go back. The Gingerbread House in the lobby & Christmas decorations, like their tree, really created a very festive vibe.

I recently visited Lorea in Huntington Beach, California. The place has a stunning ocean view and a beautiful, modern interior — definitely a 10 out of 10 in terms of atmosphere.
However, the food was just average (6/10), and the service could have been better (5/10). One important thing to know is that the restaurant has different menus depending on the time of day, so I recommend checking ahead to see what’s available.
They also offer Happy Hour from 3 to 5 PM, but there’s not much food on that menu — mostly drinks. The portion sizes are very small, so keep that in mind when ordering.
Overall, it’s a great spot for a date or to take beautiful photos by the beach, but not the best choice if you’re looking for a delicious or filling meal.

Came here on Sunday afternoon with friends. Our server was very friendly and receptive to our order. However, because one member of our party substituted pork with sausage , she assumed the whole table couldn’t have it. We did correct her by saying we don’t have any allergies or restrictions when asked if we do.
My alcoholic beverage that I ordered was forgotten about, but we weren’t charged for it thankfully . The avocado toast I ordered had egg shells in it (picture attached). We just had higher expectations for this restaurant. View was great.

First off let me start by saying the view is beautiful from the patio. There were 4 of us for dinner tonight and man was it fantastic! We started off with the pork belly wraps that truly melted in my mouth. The tuna poke was fantastic and the Burrata Carbonara melted in my mouth. For dinner we shared the spicy little gems salad which was a fun twist on a Cesar salad the seared salmon and the scallops were cooked to perfection on the side we got asparagus and heirloomcooked carrots, both which came with their own sauce and was phenomenal. Jonathan our server did a wonderful job and my compliments to the chef and the back of house team.

My husband and I have been regulars at Lorea for years. We’ve gone in nearly every season, and it has always been one of our favorite neighborhood spots—mainly because of the ambience and overall experience. Unfortunately, our visit last night completely changed how we feel.
We went on Friday December the 26th and arrived at 9:00 PM. The restaurant closes at 10:00 PM, so we expected a normal dining experience. Instead, we were met with immediate hostility from our server. He never smiled once, rushed us the entire time, and made us feel extremely unwelcome from the moment we sat down.
All of our courses—appetizers, entrées, and even dessert—were brought out almost at the same time, which completely ruined the flow of the meal. When we thanked him, he didn’t even acknowledge us or say “you’re welcome”—he simply turned around and walked away.
What made it even more uncomfortable was that there were still several tables dining, yet the staff abruptly turned the lights on and shut off the music, creating an awkward atmosphere that clearly pressured everyone to ask for the check and leave.
This was honestly shocking, especially given how much we used to love this place. Sadly, after this experience, we won’t be returning. It’s time to look for a new favorite spot.

Beautiful location amazing food presentation and also very delicious. Definitely recommend this place for a date night or just with friends. Adding a trip to the Treehouse ( Roof Top Bar ) ..simply fabulous !!

We went for a late lunch on a Wednesday afternoon. The restaurant was basically empty. I had the Ahi tuna, which was suspiciously brownish but tasted ok – I wouldn’t eat it again. The chicken in the sandwich was juicy and the fries were delicious. Overall it was good with great atmosphere.

Loved the attention to detail when being served drinks and food. Our sever was fantastic and walked around our table when placing dishes. Frequently checking in and making sure he was able to accommodate our needs. Highly recommended when in town with a beautiful view of the ocean.

We arrived 10 minutes after they opened on Sunday morning. The place was nearly empty but Sophie, the rude & Unfriendly hostess, made us wait +40 minutes before seating us. Waitress, named Grace, was sweet but unattentive. Had to hunt her down +30 minutes later to get our food served to us cold. Terrible experience, will not be going there ever again. Only reason for 2 stars in the location, but there are many other great restaurants in Huntington Beach.

Went there for lunch. Food is passable. Price is high. They double charged my card. Would not respond to fix the problem. Disputed the charge. Would not recommend. Update: Lorea has still failed to fix this and has not refunded me. This is not a place to frequent. They are clearly not ethical or honest. They have continuously failed to respond to me.
