I also want to say that the bartenders there have always been great—friendly, attentive, and quick with service.
Unfortunately, my experience with one particular bartender has been very disappointing. There is an Asian female bartender whose service has consistently been unfriendly and inattentive. On several occasions, I’ve been standing at the bar or even sitting at a table waiting for service, and she clearly sees you waiting but will go help male customers first or people she seems to know.
It’s happened multiple times where I’ve been waiting while she walks past or goes to attend other customers who arrived later, particularly men or people she appears to be familiar with. The pattern is very noticeable and makes you feel ignored as a customer.
When you’re spending money at a bar, you expect basic attentiveness and fair service. Unfortunately, because this has happened repeatedly, it’s gotten to the point where I’ve stopped going.
The place itself still has a great atmosphere and the other bartenders do a great job, which is why this is so disappointing. I hope management looks into this so the level of service can be consistent for everyone.
The fries were good, the burger was okay, and the burrito I won’t order it again. My burrito with shrimp had two objects inside that felt like fish bones in my mouth. The shrimp seasoning didn’t mix well with the flavor of the burrito. I left a lot on my plate. I asked our waitress what the objects in my burrito could be. She said she had no idea, but would let the cook know. I was able to pull one apart into a Y shape. I thought to myself, perhaps corn husk pieces? There wasn’t corn in my burrito. Wishful thinking because I didn’t want to lose my stomach. That was $50 we could’ve saved. The ambiance was loud. Seemed to be a local dive bar.
