The New York reuben was made with tasty, thick sliced rye bread with abundant corned beef and just the right amount of sauerkraut.
We waited about 10 mins before our waiter asked us if we were being served.
I’ve never been to bar that has wings listed at MRKT price, while being out of basic things like cranberry juice. The shrimp “basket” came with 8 shrimp. The burger buns were cold and soggy from the chipotle mayo. Bacon was limp, buger patty was tasteless. The highlight to meal for everyone at my table were the fries. Which is pretty sad. We asked the gentle man who brought out your food out for utensils. We watched him go about delivering food. I’m assuming he told her we asked for her because our waiter came to ask if we needed anything. Here is my problem if it’s outside of your scope to get things tables ask for why not relay what the table asked for specifically? That way she could come to the table with the items instead of having to ask us then go back to retrieve. It’s a small change in process but she was gone for 5-7 mins looking for utensils. I got tired of waiting at got it from the bar. The whole thing took about 10-13 mins.
So to wait that long for the food to only be “meh” is disappointing.
The women’s bathroom wasn’t the worst bar bathroom I’ve seen but the stains on the stall are weird…
We could have sat inside of McDonald’s and saved some money for the same experience.
Amber was the best bartender she took care of myself and my aunt
On Saturdays/Sundays during the local teams football games, they like to charge a cover due to the high volume of customers. Good luck finding a seat during those times as well. Had a bad experience, and had to squeeze on the end of the bar to enjoy my meal during the game. Go somewhere else to watch football, go here anytime else.
When we arrived, the restaurant was not open for service or takeout. I called and spoke with a manager, who apologized but did not provide any guidance, contact information, or assistance in resolving the issue. Since I could not locate the third-party ordering company on my own, I had to call back a second time to specifically ask for a way to contact them. At that point, I was given an email address and told to follow up myself.
Despite being charged for food we never received, there was no proactive effort to help track down the payment or coordinate with the vendor. I ultimately had to dispute the charge through Amex due to lack of resolution.
The food at Looney’s is generally affordable and good, which makes this experience particularly disappointing. Accurate holiday hours, better coordination with their online ordering platform, and stronger managerial ownership in situations involving paid but unfulfilled orders would greatly improve the customer experience. Based on this experience, I would be unlikely to order takeout from this location again.
