I usually don’t go to Longhorn but my friend had went a couple weeks back and it looked so good I had to go! We started with the onion petals for appetizer. Omgosh so good! They were crispy and didn’t get soggy! For my plate I ordered a medium rare ribeye with Mac and cheese and a baked potato. My friend highly recommended the brussel sprouts but unfortunately they were out. I was pretty sad but when my plate came out I wasn’t sad anymore! The Mac and cheese was so creamy and cheesy. My steak was cooked and seasoned perfect and my baked potato was hot and came out exactly how I ordered it!
Latrina was our waitress she was so kind and in such a good mood! It was busy and she had a big table next to us but she was still trying to be attentive! People need to be more patient when eating out! Even though she was busy she was still trying to be on top of our needs!
I also liked that it wasn’t so loud that we could still have a conversation .
We got there around 5:30 and got seated right away! But it was definitely busy when we were leaving! I saw a few not so good reviews so I’m glad we had a great experience!

I rarely leave reviews on Google, but this was the worst steak I’ve ever had in my 30 years. We were on a road trip from Los Angeles to Texas and arrived at this steakhouse around 8 p.m. We were so hungry and so excited that we ordered two steaks. I’ve never had such terrible steaks. We ordered them medium rare, and they were tough, dry, and incredibly salty. I don’t know what was wrong with the chef that day. If you’re not happy, please don’t come to work and torture customers! I’ll remember this night, 10/10/2025. The service was good, but the food was terrible. I couldn’t believe I was eating a steak cooked in a steakhouse. The amount of salt was lethal and the meat was terrible. As someone who doesn’t like to waste food, I didn’t finish it and only cut two small pieces. The lobster meat was not fresh either. What a terrible dining experience! If Google rating could give 0 stars I would choose that option.

This place is a hit or miss. We have had some miserable experiences. The trick for dinner is to go on Wednesdays and sit in the bar. This last visit they had it freezing. When all the customers are wearing jackets, that should tell a manager to turn down the AC. They do have the freshest salads in town. Had the CFS, it was so-so, it was meat inside a batter cake. The mushrooms & brussel sprouts were excellent.

We came here for a family members birthday. I ordered a steak med well. Verbally confirmed by waitress as she was writing. It came out med, more on the rare side. She said she hit med on the screen. (Already admitting she messed up) she took it back and passed it off to, I assume a manager, who brought it back a few minutes later and asked me to cut into it to check. Same steak, same result. The plopped butter on top and waited for it to melt then brought it back. He said, “how is it supposed to be cooked? I didn’t hear her say what it was.” Also, admitting they messed up. He offered to take it back again but my group was already finishing eating by that time. This is terrible service. He said he was going to comp it, but he should have called her back and asked her. Not bring it out completely unchanged. Some of the others in my group had their orders brought out wrong too. The waitress was rushing. I understand a busy shift but pace yourselves and communicate better amongst your employees. I hope this isn’t normal.

Went the Longhorn Steakhouse for lunch. We had the lemon chicken and salmon—both were great. Our server did a really good job. The fried okra is amazing and not to be missed.
The only negatives was that with restaurant about 1/3 full our food was slow coming out and for some reason my mash potatoes were cold.

Solid spot for a casual steak dinner in Midland. I visited last month and ordered a steak with appetizers, drinks, and dessert — everything came out at good temperature and cooked accurately. Steaks here are usually the highlight: well-seasoned, seared properly, and served hot on the plate. Appetizers arrived fast, drinks were consistent, and dessert was rich without being overdone. The only weak points tend to be service and timing — staff turnover is noticeable, so some visits feel dialed-in while others drag a little, especially on busy nights. Wait times at the door can fluctuate even when tables are open, which hints at short staffing. Still, the food quality has held steady across visits, and management seems to keep the kitchen side running smoothly. Dining room stays clean, booths are comfortable, and bar seating is a good backup if you don’t want to wait for a table. Overall, dependable for a mid-range steakhouse chain — not perfect service every time, but consistently good food that delivers on the basics. Would return for another steak night or casual dinner with friends.

Well after very poor service and food at the Salt Grass Steakhouse I decided to try Longhorn and so glad I did, I sat at a table and received prompt and friendly service. My server Trenton I believe was his name was very welcoming and friendly, I ordered the white cheddar stuffed mushrooms for my appetizer and then the Atlantic Salmon with baked sweet potato and fried brussel sprouts, I also had a blue moon beer. The mushrooms were tasty and so was the rest of my meal, the salmon was great not over cooked but nice and tender. Loved the baked sweet potato with butter and brown sugar, if you have never had it I definitely recommend it. My server didn’t smother me but checked and asked how everything was, offered me dessert and was exactly what a server should be. I worked in the restaurant industry as a server and dining room manager and more places need people like him working, great experience and will go here again before I head home to Colorado on Monday… Lots of great choices something for everyone and great vegetarian options.

I don’t know what has changed but the service from the hostess, servers, bussers, expediters was so good. I worked in the food and beverage industry and even though this is a chain restaurant it was like a well oiled machine, they have it together and the food was even on point. Don’t let the past reviews deter you from having dinner here, my sirloin steak was perfect along with my crispy brussel sprouts and asparagus. Kudos to Taylor my server, Paige and the whole staff, this is what a dining experience is supposed to be like. You should feel proud for how you handle your dining room and how you take care of the guest. Highly recommend this place.

Food was great for a chain steakhouse. Not a single complaint. I was part of a party of 9, the 4th person in the door at 11am. We were not served for 1 hour and 15 minutes. Appetizers were missed by the kitchen staff. 4 breads for 9 people.
