The restaurant was exceptionally clean, and our waitress was energetic, attentive, and welcoming. Shortly after being seated, we were served warm bread and butter. The bread was hot and fresh — perfectly crispy on the outside and soft and fluffy on the inside.
For our appetizer, we ordered the Onion Tonion, which arrived hot and crispy. It was full of flavor, though a few pieces were slightly on the salty side. For our main course, we chose the Parmesan Crusted Chicken. Since my partner and I planned to share the dish, our server thoughtfully offered to plate it separately, which we appreciated. The chicken was tender and juicy, complemented by a crisp, flavorful crust. The mashed potatoes were buttery, smooth, and creamy — a perfect pairing.
To conclude our meal, we indulged in the Chocolate Stampede. The cake was rich, moist, and decadently chocolaty, while the vanilla ice cream was creamy and provided a pleasant balance to the dessert’s richness.

I ordered a chicken fried steak online with white gravy. Guess I should’ve checked the bag before I went home because they didn’t put any gravy whatsoever on the steak and they didn’t give me any on the side either. Im gonna stick to Texas Roadhouse from now on

I need to upgrade my review for this LongHorn Steakhouse. I noticed I left a 2-star review back in 2017 after a disappointing experience. I’ve returned several times since then, and, after that visit in 2017, has been consistently positive since. Restaurants tend to have high employee turnover rates, and can have personnel issues from time to time – especially on challenging days when they’re getting slammed like on that Mother’s Day. So here’s my redemption review…
This LongHorn Steakhouse is located on the north side of Interstate 2 (Expressway 83) in Weslaco, in front of the JCP and Academy stores and in between Texas Blvd. And N. Bridge Road.
The current management has maintained the property well. It is a handsome building with the trademark stonework facade, nicely landscaped, with ample, well lit parking. It is handicapped accessible, and high chairs for toddlers are available. It would be good for small groups as well as family get-togethers, and business lunch or date night.
They offer their signature steaks, burgers, salmon, chicken, some comfort food like their excellent mac n cheese, salads, and more.
I met some friends here for a late lunch on a Saturday around 4 PM. There was no wait. Our server did an incredible job, was friendly, attentive, and checked back on us several times. She kept our drinks filled and even offered a to-go cup as we were wrapping up.
The fresh baked bread and butter was delicious, served along with our drinks while we looked over the menu.
I ordered the 8 ounce sirloin, a loaded baked potato, and the crispy Brussels sprouts. I noticed the potato had a lot of salt encrusted on the skin, but since I did not eat the skin, it was not a problem – though it could be an issue for those on low-sodium diets. The Brussels Sprouts were crispy on the outside for the most part… I would have enjoyed them more a bit crisper and with some Balsamic vinager, but they were still pretty good. The steak was cooked as requested and delicious.
There was some background music, but it was at a decent level so it did not hinder our conversation.
I really enjoyed this visit and dining experience, recommend this LongHorn Steakhouse, and based on my last three visits am awarding them the full five stars.

Usually if give 5 stars, I ordered online for my birthday yesterday and I left instructions medium rare and char the outside. It was medium rare and it was good just wasnt made how I ordered it. The guy that brought it out was really nice. Just follow the instructions next time. Thanks.

Usually an amazing visit, our last wasn’t our best. We had a larger party, and I arrived early to secure a table, but were told half the party had to be there with us so I would really recommend a hold fee, so we don’t have to wait in the lobby. I really don’t understand why I would dishonestly need a table for 10 when that’s indeed my party size. There were also tables available but still my little
girl and I sat in a hot lobby.
Also, it seemed the AC wasn’t functioning to the back as it was very hot as we dined. Normally the entire experience is exceptional but this was a different visit. Food is always amazing and fresh and the servers did exceptional jobs.

Had lunch with a group of friends. Restaurant was nice and clean, no lunch crowd. The server was polite and efficient while taking our order; he also made sure we were satisfied and freshen our drinks.Steak Flo done to perfection as ordered, orders of Chicken fried Chicken were nice and juicy(portions of meat were very small), Chicken fried Steaks were very satisfying and the beef was extremely tender. The restroom are very well kept. Our group had a wonderful time dining here. We would definitely recommend and come back again.

As soon as i walked in, the odor of old wet carpet hit my nose. It triggered old memories of homes we used to raid that had no HVAC, Old carpet, piles of clothes, trash, drugs and other things that made a drug house smell.
The hostess was friendly and had a beautiful smile. The server was great and very attentive. Food was good, as i had the salmon caesar salad. Its not their fault corporate doesnt care enough to remove all old dirty carpet from all their establishments. A steakhouse shouldnt smell like a drug house. A steakhouse should smell like steak, and have inviting odors.
Recommendations: remove carpet!

Had lunch, I ordered the chicken steak meal! The chicken steak had too much breading, and it just crumbled off! Plus, they forgot one of the sides for my wife and myself!
Great food, but even though it was hardly anyone, their service was very slow! Server brought me the wrong refill drink and forgot to get my daughter’s drink.
