We hadn’t been to Longhorn since we moved to Louisiana 5 years ago and decided to try this one while I was working out of town.
Service was quite slow. They were slow seating is even though we were the only ones waiting. It took forever for a waiter to come. And we were only told they didn’t have bread AFTER ordering. This is something they should be telling people before seating them! Throughout the whole time we were barely looked after. When they brought a salad with blue cheese instead of ranch, I had to get up and chase someone down to fix it.
I ordered the 8 Oz Sirloin with a Loaded Baked Potato and my wife ordered a couple small salads. I enjoyed my food as I always do at Longhorn but my wife thought her salads had too much dressing.
I would probably go back because I usually like Longhorn, but my first trip to this location was a little lackluster.

We came here for lunch and was seated immediately. We ordered a drink and appetizer at the same time. When the appetizer came out we then put in our entree order. I’ve learned that if you put your entree order in too close to your appetizer order it all comes out at the same time. This day we had a traditional cheeseburger cook medium. It came out hot juicy and cooked to perfection. It was delicious. I was dining with my mother-in-law and we shared the cheeseburger and the fries. For the appetizer we got the spicy chicken bites which I had planned to bring the rest home to my daughter but I forgot them on the table. Bummer. With one appetizer and a cheeseburger entree and two drinks the total was about $27. Not too bad imo. We were very busy and not alot of time but wanted to sit for lunch instead of driving through somewhere. The Parmesan Crusted Chicken is a Fave, too but I love a good juicy cheeseburger once in a while.

I purchased two meals and a dessert from them on yesterday night. The first problem I encountered was waiting in curbside after they had already notified me that my order was ready. I didn’t get upset because I understand that I am not the only customer. I called to inform them that I was waiting and the phone rung for a rather long time before someone answered my call then hung up in my face! My significant other went in to retrieve my order, then when we made home, I realized that my food was not prepared properly and actually appeared rushed! So my significant other called to complain and a man asked him if he would like to speak to a manager. After he said yes, they left him on the phone waiting for a very long time before they hung up in his face as well! I am not please at all!

The food was absolutely delicious, but service was kind of slow. We had to ask for silverware twice before we finally got some. Other than that, it wasn’t that bad. If I’m short on time, I’d go somewhere else.

Longhorns is a pretty popular steak chain restaurant. There are definitely some that are better than others. Our server was super sweet but did forget several things requested – she was very young but was hustling from what seemed to be a very large group and several tables – forgivable. We split a ribeye steak dinner. The steak was cooked med rare as requested and was seasoned well – was not a high grade of steak. The salad was good-fresh. The loaded baked potato souo – forgettable/bland. Would of been better with maybe the cheese/bacon/chives/sour cream on top instead of blended in. The crispy Brussels sprouts I would go back for they were sweet and spicy. The inside has plenty of seating that large groups or solos would be comfortable. There is also a separate bar. There is plenty of parking outside. Overall staff was friendly and the place was clean. Definitely better steaks in the area but at a mid range price point it was satisfactory.

Arrived shortly after 7pm on Sunday, November 16th. 3 different couples were waiting on tables at the door…no hostess in site for about 5 minutes. 3 workers walked up to the bar area and saw us standing at the door and we were never greeted. Once the hostess walked up we were told there was a 15 minute wait…ok, cool, no problem. We get to our table after 12-15 minutes waiting. Our waitress came to the table within 5 minutes and got our drink order, appetizer order and dinner order all at once. Our steak dinners arrived before we ever got our drinks or appetizer. I asked the lady that delivered our food to please cancel the appetizer since we already had our dinner. Shortly after…our appetizer showed up. My husband asked that I not say anything else and just go with it. They never apologized for bringing our drinks out late or for delivering the appetizer after the dinner or for not acknowledging that I canceled the appetizer. Our drinks stayed empty until she brought us a check. The restaurant was not busy at all and the table beside us was having issues as well with their drinks staying empty. The food was cooked perfectly and tasted great. Maybe training the staff better or hiring people that actually know how to wait tables would help. Very disappointed in the service.

Im giving food a 2 star because of the wait time on our food. Not to mention when our food was delivered my steak and potato was room temperature. Not even my plate was hot. Im guessing my food got prepaired the was set aside . My husband’s was great as always. The parmesan crusted chicken is a must. Cowboy was yummy as well. Also at no time did the manager come around to check on us.

35 min wait was not the problem with the Pecanland Longhorn. It was the rude…completely unprofessional manager(Carlos) holler my name out of irritation because neither me or the lady waiting next to us answered our text as soon as the text came through. Totally unprofessional! I ask if he was the manager and that pissed him off even more. Then got our bread and both my wife and I silverware was dirty. We just left after that

I have never been to a steakhouse where the server brought out plastic to-go utensils for us to eat with, did not bring the starter I ordered because it went to a different table, and we had to get a different server passing by to get a refill on our drinks. The food was not cooked as ordered and we had to point out that we didn’t receive all of the sides we ordered or send back the ones we did because it was not prepared the way we ordered them. I heard this was a good place to eat, but never again…never again.

The food was excellent! The service was terrible. We had to ask for the salad when the meal was served. The waiter acknowledged we needed a refill and I requested ketchup. We never got a refill on our drinks or the ketchup requested. This has happened the last couple of times we have been to Longhorn Monroe. The waiter/waitress have not been very attentive the last 3 visits.
