The food was amazing. The service was not so good. I asked the waitress for a cup and the waitress suggested I ask MY server but the cups were directly behind her. Refills were not brought out during dinner. The waitress never checked on our table and waited for any extras we asked for. They only gave one loaf of bread and never offered any more.

The atmosphere is pure country with class! We were sat within 5 minutes and our server, Stacy, was phenominal. She greeted us immediately and took our beverage order. The speed of service was exceptional!! My Flo Filet (cooked med. Rare) & Lobster Tail was cooked to perfection. The fresh loaf of bread was soft & delicious. I chose to pay a slight additional charge for the strawberry & pecan salad that was filled with strawberries, grapes, mandarin oranges, spinach salad mix, pecans, and blue cheese crumble…so very scrumptious & well worth it!!
There’s lots of parking, imcluding handicap, available. The restrooms are large with plenty of room and handicap stalls.
The prices are very reasonable and the portions are large. I highly encourage you to stop by your nearest Longhorn and enjoy a delicious meal, classy country atmosphere & music, and exceptional service!

The steak was so delicious and a decent size for the price. The steak didn’t even need A-1 sauce. I did ask for my steak to be prepared Medium, instead my steak was uneven in temperature, to where part of the steak was medium and part of it was well-done. Food was fast. Waiter was nice and helped pick out that drink pictured. It was all great, I just wish the butter came out a little softer.

My salad appears to have been the bottom of a bag, lots of huge vein pieces. The butter served with the bread was so hard you could not get it out of the little cup, no butter knife just a very sharp steak knife. My steak had sat under a heat lamp, because all the butter had melted from my potato all over my plate so my steak was swimming in butter, I ended up using the hard cold butter from the bread on the potato. Food tasted good, steak was cooked perfect, just a couple ofthings that kept it from being perfect.

The food was great! The waiter Jerry is excellent and accommodating. ( He wasn’t our waiter) He saw us walking out with many to go boxes and offered us a bag! What a wonderful waiter. Very kind young man. Ask for him on your next visit!

There is a quick back story to how my friends ended up the Fairview Heights Longhorn instead of Sunset Hills location (which she lives closer to).
My friend’s son is dying of cancer and his wish was to just have a steak from Longhorn. There are 9 members in their blended family and all I asked the Sunset location was to have a table for the family so they could just come in, eat and leave. Now, they wanted a table for 5:30pm on a Friday, but still. The bill was going to be paid and they were going to order a lot of food. No matter how I presented it and told them it was this 15 year old’s dying steak, the managers at Sunset Hills were not willing to accommodate.
So, I called Fairview Heights and let me tell you, THEY WERE AMAZING! NO QUESTIONS ASKED. Robert Rogers made sure the family had what they needed, any day of the week, and when they had to cancel 2x because Jax was in the hospital, they rescheduled 3x without questions. Having a heart goes a long way. I called to talk to Robert yesterday to make sure all was good, and Steve (manager) answered the phone. He was also super helpful, asked no questions and was just so happy they could make this boy’s wish come true.
The director of operations called me to discuss the experience I had with Sunset and offered the family a $100.00 gift card on their table last night when they went to dinner. Again, unnecessary but much appreciated for the family.
So, when going to Longhorn, even though I live closer to the Sunset location, I will be going to Fairview, because I know they run their location with heart and not judgement.
Jax got the biggest steak, had the biggest smile on his face and was able to just be a kid during his dining experience! Thank you Fairview for making this wish come true! You are amazing!
