I recently had the pleasure of dining at LongHorn Steakhouse in Lake Orion, Michigan. The restaurant was busy, but we were seated promptly and our waitress, Genesis, was very attentive and friendly. She took the time to recommend some of the menu items and answered all of our questions.

The first few times we dined here, we really enjoyed it. The servers were amazing & the food was cooked perfectly. Everything was so delicious from the appetizers to the dessert. We even had one server that made us honey-cinnamon butter for the bread! The last couple of visits have not been so great. Poor service, along with overcooked steaks. One occasion we sent my filet mignon back because it was WAY over done, only to have it come back practically still mooing. Our last visit, the server took our order, dropped the food off & brought the bill. She never came to check on us one time. My husband’s steak (the Longhorn) was over done. He didn’t bother having it remade because we couldn’t find our waitress. We were there for far to long. So it’s been very hit or miss. We’re not running back to soon right now.

This restaurant was by far better then the 5 stars given I hadn’t had such a good meal eating out. The New York strip was very good and hot the sides were fresh and hot as well. We will definitely be back.

Our server was great! He was super friendly, as were all the staff that we interacted with. It did take quite a while to get drinks and food for some reason. There were 6 of us. 5 had no issues with their meal and said everything was great. After sending my steak back 3 times and it still being quite pink, I just asked for it to be taken off since everyone else was done eating their meals and it had already taken a very long time to get food. 5 out of 6 right isn’t bad, I guess.

Been to several longhorns, but this one I don’t know. Overall dirty! Front entry way was cobweb dirty, menus sticky, table lamp and wall had food all over it, our waiter was busy but had to be reminded to bring food she forgot. We both ordered the same steak and cooked the same way. We got 2 different steaks one cooked correctly the other was half cooked and the other half very rare. Ordered the cheese cake which was good but it’s had shredded cheese and looked like green pepper on the plate. I could continue but you get the point.

Taryn is GREAT. She’s literally the only reason I come here. Her attitude and energy is great. I only come before 5 because i just know she’ll be there! This location is hit and miss though. Once I had to return a steak 3 times. This time was good though. I went in for lunch and got a porterhouse! It was nicely cooked medium, some pieces were medium rare but it was fine. There wasn’t a lot of juice for the steak though, that was disappointing. My sweet potato didn’t have any butter, i had to use the butter from my bread
