The service was really good! Atmosphere was really nice. Was not happy with my sirloin steak, not cooked well and very tough. I tried my wife’s ribs and meat was very dry, not moist and chewy. One of the not good meals I’ve had, which was surprising at Longhorn, and the disappointing part is you pay a lot of money and there’s not a lot you can do about it.

I stopped by this LongHorn on a Sunday morning, arriving around 11:20 AM shortly after they opened. It wasn’t crowded at all just maybe only four other diners but the start was a bit rough.
The greeter was totally nonchalant and aloof, which wasn’t welcoming. I had my toddler with me and they didn’t even offer a highchair. Also, the inside of the restaurant smells strongly, like greasy floors or walls. It’s an odd smell for a steakhouse, and I definitely agree with other reviewers who said this needs to be addressed.
Now for the good news: THE FOOD WAS PHENOMENAL! Seriously, the kitchen staff nailed it. Everything was perfect, and I loved it. I will continue to eat at LongHorn because of how good the food is.
However, the service experience was very uncomfortable. My actual server was kind and friendly but seemed way too focused on rushing us out.
Rushed Meal: She asked if we needed to-go boxes right as we started eating! Then she brought the check way too early, while we were still eating, which stopped me from ordering a to-go cake I had planned on getting.
Rushed Payment: After I said I’d use the QR code to pay, she kept coming back every two to five minutes to ask if I had paid yet. As a single mom with a toddler, a purse, a diaper bag, and it raining outside, I was juggling a lot. It felt overwhelming and like she was pressuring me or thought I was going to leave without paying. I was trying to relax and eat, but ended up hurrying just to leave.
Kids Menu Upcharge: I ordered the kids meal with apple juice instead of milk (since my toddler can’t have milk), and they charged me $3.99 extra for the juice. I think this is unfair and feels like a scam. If milk is an option, the juice should be an equal substitute, not an upcharge, especially when a child has dietary needs.
Overall, the total bill was about $60, and while I love the food, the uncomfortable atmosphere and rushed service need to be fixed by management.

It started off good. Me and my friend ordered the same thing off the menu and then the experience started to go downward. Like I said we ordered the same thing Salmon and it came with salad and side. I got loaded potato and my friend asked loaded mash potatoes and somehow she only brought 1 salad, we also ordered an appetizer that was never brought, and then she proceeded to serve a guy that came in 20mins after us. Fully served him and when she came back my friend asked where her salad was and the waitress said she thought she ordered a loaded potato and mashed potatoes an said it was a miscommunication. Like yea you weren’t listening at all. It wasn’t busy we were the only ones sitting at the bar before the guy came in. Shift manager was not attentive either. My friend canceled her order and I kept mine so when it came out my salad came out 30mins before the entree and the loaded potato looked like someone stepped on it and served it. My salmon was also bland and the rice was gummy. Overall not my best experience to which I have had better experiences in this same restaurant. Brian needs to work on customer relations and Rebekah needs to be more attentive and listen. It was also extremely cold in the entire restaurant.

The food has always been really, really good. The parmesan chicken and ribs are always a favorite. Definitely get the brussel sprout sprouts if they have them. They are extremely well done. That said, there’s usually a wait to get seated even when there are empty tables. Service isn’t terrible but can be slow. Unfortunately it’s loud, so a quiet conversation isn’t possible.

Ordered the ribeye medium well the first time it come out burnt and hard too even cut. Sent it back they cooked another one and it came out undercooked. When mentioning the issue the server had the nerve to get smart and say it wasn’t blood and it was cooked correctly and it definitely wasn’t. The steak looked to be medium or medium rare

My husband & I, both 77 years old, walked in at 4:40 and were told the only available table was a high top. There were only a few people in booths and plenty of tables vacant. The hostess said there would be a twenty minute wait for a table due to being between shifts. Wouldn’t it have been simple for someone to have seated us with menus and water? I guess no one can come in there & eat between 4:30 & 5:00 each day. Of course we left and had a fabulous meal down the road at Saltgrass Steak House.

We had the worst waitress I ever had in life. No bread , no refill, no patience, no silverware and she was very rude. Before posting this I called the store manager the next day her name was Ms Jordan and tried to report this matter and she seems to be very uninterested about this issue as well. So I would highly recommend any other Long Horn restaurant besides this one in Hoover because when you’re dealing with people you have to have patience and not get angry with a attitude and a manager that’s going to resolve the issue so since nothing was resolved I will not be going back to this restaurant nor will I recommend this location ever again.

Worst trip to Longhorn EVER!! We ate at the one in Hoover. We were seated right away, they weren’t very busy. We waited about 15 mins and no server. I went back to the hostess and asked if we could have a server. When the server arrived, no apology, just my name is…… what can I get you to drink? My husband had salmon and I ordered a cheeseburger well done with mayo and lettuce on the side as I know I have to take half home. We waited a really long time, finally got our food. My burger had their nasty sauce all over it and lettuce on it, no mayo anywhere. I asked that it be remade. When it came back, the nasty sauce and lettuce were on the side as I asked and I was handed Mayo packets. When I cut it in half, blood/juices soaked the bun. So much for well done. I told the server I couldn’t eat that! She gave it to the manager to have it taken off the bill. The manager walked past our table and never said a word to us until she heard me say “now would have been a good time to stop by our table”. We probably won’t go back after being treated the way we were. Wish I could get in touch with the GM Jay Boyd!
