I was too tired cook so my hubby, mom, and I decided to try Longhorns on Hwy 19 in Palm Harbor. I heard good things about the place. We usually don’t go out for steak only because we prefer a steak on a charcoal grill. But our friends’ go there once a week, so we had to try it! There was a 30 min wait but turned out to be 20 mins. It was nice to sit outside and enjoy the cool weather. Inside is cozy and dark, a little loud, it was pretty busy that night. There is a small bar area to sit and eat too. Our server Phillip was a 10, he was great! We took our time ordering drinks and our food; we weren’t in a rush. He had an order plan: put the salt or pepper at the end of the table when we were ready to order. It was a perfect idea. I requested a different steak with shrimp and a bake sweet potato with regular baked potato toppings. It was no problem for the switch. We had salads and large rolls before the dinner, all good. The meals came and the steaks were cook to perfection and larger portions! The steaks seemed like quality meat but it was hard to tell because of the heavy seasoning or salt on them. I wasn’t sure if this was meat tenderizer seasoning. We ordered mushrooms on the side. Those were extremely salty too. I am a salt person but this was a little too much for me. The shrimp was well cooked but over seasoned and a little spicy. But I like spicy. Our friends did mention when they order they request light seasoning.

LongHorn Steakhouse is one of our Go-Tos in Michigan, so why not try it in Florida? Ashley was our server and the service was excellent, food was HOT, Fresh and Delicious! Parmasean Crusted Chicken, Loaded Baked Potato, 12oz Ribeye (Cooked perfectly), Mashed potatoes and Steakhouse Mac & Cheese were all phenomenal! Kudos to the crew working on a Monday night.

Taylor is the number one reason I will be back to this place, impeccable, service, attentiveness, and professionalism.
It’s very rare these days to have a server with an attitude like this , I am definitely sure this lady loves her job.
I honestly felt at home,
Food is epic

I was surprised going to Longhorn for lunch at the variety of excellent value-priced lunch specials they have!

I had the 7-Pepper grilled Sirloin Lunch Salad cooked to order (mine always very rare!) that comes with a choice of soup – I chose a delicious creamy Shrimp & Lobster Chowder loaded with shrimp, lobster, corn, red bell peppers, potatoes, and topped with fresh green onions. What a great meal for $17
…..And it comes with a small loaf of hot bread and butter! Other great options lunch specials available.

Service was also very attentive and friendly

Went with my guy to have a nice steak dinner. We were seated and our waitress (Tara H.) asked us if we wanted drinks. Since I’m on duty next day I just got water, my boyfriend followed suit. She then asked if wanted appetizers and bread: we said no to appetizers and yes to bread. Bread took a wee bit long to get to us. It came by way of another waiter. Steaks arrived shortly after and they were cooked perfectly. Sides were also good. Broccoli could have used some seasoning, but it was steamed so whatevs. Our waitress was in a hurry to free our table or at least it seemed. As we were finishing our meal she said would you like a to go box? How many? Honestly we wanted dessert, we both did, but she was not affable at all and outsourced different waiters to our table. She could use a little more training in the public protocol area. I suppose she figured if we weren’t drinking… not much money would be made off of us? She was sterile and lacked etiquette. We got one box and left. We thanked the hostesses on the way out but the two of them were on their phones and didn’t pay us any mind. I will not go back to this facility. I work hard in my job, so when I can have a nice meal, it would be nice to be treated cordially like I do everyday at my job. Also…housekeeping is lacking. If you look closely…lots of butter smudges, sauce stains, marks on booths and dust galore. I’ll stick to another location or a real steakhouse where at the very least your server is personable.

Never really had the opportunity to eat at LongHorn before, but glad I gave it a try.

The waitresses were super friendly and on top of checking in on us whether it was seeing if we needed new drinks or if our food was ok.
(Even the manager was very understanding and polite when helping us with a slight problem.)

When we first ordered the food (Crispy Chicken Sandwiches with a Side). It was way over seasoned. One bite was like taking a spoon of seasoning to the mouth. We asked if we could get it redone with no extra seasoning. (Yes that is what we asked ) and the manager said of course that it is normally heavily seasoned.

Now the second time the food came out it was absolutely perfect. You could actually taste the chicken along with the flavors from the breading without it being too much. The blend between was perfect. Just next time before I finish my order next time I dine in…..I will ask for it not to be heavy on the seasoning, but I absolutely plan to return for future meal one day.

Enjoyed a late lunch at Longhorn Steakhouse on 02/12/26 to celebrate our 2 month wedding anniversary. This was just one of many visits over the years including picking up to-go dinners during Covid. Longhorn has consistent excellent service, delicious, perfectly cooked meals, and a pleasant dining experience.

We left our new dentistry next door to Longhorn. Last time we tried to eat there it was a Friday evening and restaurant was very busy which was great..busy is good for business! We were seated and sat for 15 minutes. We happened to be very hungry. Left and thought we’d try again another time. Today went back and not bust at all at 1:30 in the afternoon and thought, great, we will get good service. Waited at front for 5 minutes to ask for a table anywhere in bar area. Sweet girl said she’d go clean off a table and came back to ask us if we’d give them 5 minutes to let the waitress catch up..normally we’d wait but already had a negative outlook on how long we would really take. This may not be the fault of management. It my simply be that people just don’t want to work anymore. Not sure. J6st want management to be aware of this.
