My wife, and I, were never fond of Longhorn’s until we visited the Winter Haven location several months ago. What made the difference? Food quality & freshness along with good customer service. That led us to make it a Sunday lunch staple for us. Over the past few months, we’ve driven an hour (one-way) to the WHL an average of 3 times per month. To the point that we didn’t even need to look at the menu. Unfortunately, we started noticing a decline in the areas that attracted us in the first place. Last Sunday, February 22nd, was our worst experience by far. When I gave my order to the waitress and asked if she could please have someone bring me my medium well outlaw ribeye when it’s hot & fresh (because lately I had been receiving cold steaks), she responded by saying that she “would do her best”, but that she didn’t “watch plates”. Well, when we finally got our plates, not only was my steak cold, it was burnt & well done. I returned it & requested a new one packed to go. I just had enough. She told me that a manager would be stopping by to talk to me, but that never happened. When I got home, I opened my to-go container to yet another burnt & well done steak. Since asking for a hot & fresh ribeye is such an unreasonable request, I’m going to take my business elsewhere.

Portions are getting smaller, while prices are going up. Half my order of spicy chicken bites was missing. Loaded baked potato was so dry it got stuck in my throat. Service was slow even though I was the only one at the bar at noon.

Today’s destination and delicious bite started with the spicy chicken bites with a spicy chili sauce. The chicken chunks were tender and juicy. Next, I enjoyed a crispy mixed green salad with blue cheese dressing; however, the star of the night was definitely the main course. The Outlaw Ribeye, cooked medium well, was juicy and delicious. In addition, I enjoyed the baked potato, coated in salt flakes and stuffed with extra butter and sour cream.

Honestly, this place has a fantastic steak. Some people make think that’s crazy for a chain restaurant. But it really is a good steak. I would put them up against any of the mom and pops in town. They’re consistent too, which is really important and the Togo server Jimmy has the greatest attitude. I’ve never seen someone so kind and up beat. He’s the reason we come coming back!

As a son of a butcher and raised in a restaurant culture I was pleasantly surprised to experience Longhorn Steakhouse. This was my fifth visit to Longhorn at various locations and was super impressed with what I experienced. First off the cleanliness of the facility and watching the staff, no matter the position, constantly wiping down tables quickly and removing used dishes was a real indication of excellent management. This was consistent in each location I visited. Every member of staff had a smile and kind word no matter if they were serving me or not. Secondly the menu was throughout and covered my desire for something different at each visit. Portions matched the items pictured, rare in today’s business environment, and when served the food was of top quality and fairly priced. My steak of choice is their Strip Steak and consistently there was not a bit of fat on any one I had which again is not found in today’s steak restaurant. I have made my goal to dine st Longhorn on a weekly basis. Something I have not been willing to do for a long time. Thank you Longhorn! I wish I had found you sooner!!!

Went for dinner at this wonderful steakhouse. We ordered 2 steaks that were tasty and cooked to perfection. The restaurant was busy, but you couldn’t tell as the staff were very friendly and professional. Our server was Tammy and she was absolutely the best. Tammy is very caring, professional and always made sure our drinks were full. This made for a perfect night. We will definitely return to this restaurant.

Came on a busy night. Did online wait ahead and got there and waited about 15-20 after driving 15 mins to the restaurant. Got sat down and ordered food. Racheal was attentive. Drinks and bread came out within 3-4 mins after order. Salad came shortly after. Appetizer came out I think another 5 mins later. Tried the new Garlic Parmesan Crusted Fries. They were very good. Main dishes came about 10 mins later. Wife’s steak was slightly overcooked. They had no issues with taking it back to have a new one prepared. Micheal was the manger who brought the steak back out and was ensuring it was satisfactory. He asked if there was any other issues we told him no. My meal was great. Steak was cooked well and very soft and tender for the cut of steak. Honestly was a night night for dinner. Again was busy so can not really be upset for very very minor things.
